Re: Happy with junk?

To answer the thread title, YES I am happy with junk!

My brand new Traxxas Slash is fun and reliable, but unless it's broken and I am fixing it, it seems boring to me now...

Re: if you wanna look! take a look! sharing some new finds

Like Farmer said, you just have to dig deep to find the good stuff. Scour Craigslist every day, you NEVER know what you are going to find. When searching SPELL THINGS WRONG in the search! Sometimes people misspell things and searches won't find them. That's how I got the Kyosho Raider I just picked ...

All of these look amazing. I wish I had the talent to do that, I get pissed off spray painting flat surfaces.

Re: Just picked up a Kyosho Raider

I used to dress like that in the 80's :( I cleaned the dust off the body, came out nice. I ran it last night but the AM system is very sensitive. She took off on me and I had to give chase. Forward to reverse is VERY touchy, and when you turn, it's glitchy in the throttle. I was surprised that the o...

Just picked up a Kyosho Raider

Local guy had this Raider so we traded some stuff, I got this and he got an RC10 chassis that I had. It's 99.9% complete, only thing missing is original antenna tube and I guess straps that hold the battery down. It runs good, but needs to be cleaned up, that will start soon. It came with everything...

Awesome collection. I am glad I can say that I have owned a few of what you display there. Is there room for more in there?

Re: The vintage batteries thread- Q&A

Wait, are these old batteries still usable? I am stupid when it comes to this stuff. I have 6 sets of these sitting in my garage. Can they be revived? If so, does anyone want them? I won't use them for anything, would you guys into the hardcore vintage stuff want them for display purposes, even if t...

Re: hard plastic body paint removal.

A friend of mine got a deep rubbermaid tray and dumped brake fluid in it. He put his bruiser body on it's side and let it soak for a while, then flipped it. Eventually it was a bare body.

Re: MAXXUM FF

I have one of these on the way. A friend of mine found it in his attic and isn't into the hobby. We worked out a nice deal (along with a Tamiya Monster Beetle). It should be here in a week or two, hopefully! I don't think it's as solid and together as yours though...
