Re: RC10 Classic 40th anniversary

Mine arrived yesterday as well, Kit # 1290. My god did FedEx help the government rape me... $80.78 in GST and Taxes. Sheesh! I still cannot believe for this price they didn't even print out a manual and staple it. What the heck? Amazed they didn't re-release some special ESC & Motor like Kyosho ...

Re: Rebuilt my old RC10GT (7057)

Awesome job guys! The muffler support arrived today from that hobby store and I finally got that mounted, which let me trim my temporary body (Thunder Tiger Phoenix converted over). Now unfortunately Tower Hobbies has not come through with the servo steering screws that are still back ordered from T...

Re: Rebuilt my old RC10GT (7057)

Awesome!!! Many many thanks. I've placed the order, hopefully they did have it in stock lol. Now I just need Tower to complete the back order for the 7306 servo mounting screw I should have everything. Unless of course someone finds a set in a store somewhere :-) I'll post some new pics with the mot...

Re: Rebuilt my old RC10GT (7057)

And of course the SG crank on the .18 won't fit... so that is now on the shelf awaiting a future SC10 Factory Team kit... *sigh* Then I ordered a nice OS .18 CV-R that is designed for the RC10GT, sure enough when it arrived it dropped right in. Good job OS supporting and old truck! Now I'm still stu...

Re: Modern cab forward bodies

I can only agree! Cliff commented on this as well. Damn ugly, serve no purpose.

Hence why I am rebuilding my B2/B3 to race ;-)

Re: Rebuilt my old RC10GT (7057)

Forgot to mention, I picked up a nice new AE .18X motor to put in it and planned to install the back plate and remove the pull start. The web manual states that you need to cut the crank at 3/8" but it's a typo... They meant 3/16". Just for future reference in case anyone is converting a ....

Re: Rebuilt my old RC10GT (7057)

Ok I'm stumped on one part... Does anyone know where I can find a Muffler mount part number 7728?

Hard to find item and no luck so far with the various hobby stores (or flea bay).

Thanks
Tim

Re: Associated NiCd fast charger

Can't believe I managed to find my old charger.... used to use this back in the 80's for my Tamiya Boomerang at GM Raceway: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8301/7805561524_a362233c21_z.jpg http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7246/7805562372_206beaa087_z.jpg I used to use it later just as a basic discharger....

Rebuilt my old RC10GT (7057)

Well as discussed in other threads, I finally rebuilt my old RC10GT (7057 model). I didn't want to break any of the rare white pieces so I started ordering the Factory truck parts to go with the factory blue chassis I had from years back. Now it turns out I have enough parts to build a totally new t...

Re: RC18's

I've got three already! Got my boys into RC by making a small track in the back field and now they are hooked. The 18's were cheaper to get started with and actually turned out to be a blast to run (especially the brushless T/B2's). Tires are a pain though, the stock ones wear instantly and the best...

Re: RC10GT bodys nowhere to be found!

Just an update, Team Blue is moving to a new location and won't be back up and running till September. Once they are I'll drop the new bodies off to get molds made. As for the body stickers, I'll make scans and post as a PDF for those that want to get them made. By the way, anyone know of a good pla...

Re: RC10GT restoration project

Wow great job! I actually have been slowly buying parts to convert my original GT to the Factory Team blue chassis with newer parts (so I don't break any of the rare parts)... However I've been at it so long I've bought nearly everything to build a new truck!!! Oh well, at least I can do the same as...
