Binding question
I recently bought an Orangerx GR300 receiver to use with my DX3.0. I am having trouble making it bind. I noticed that the receiver says it is compatible with DSM2 technology and on my DX3.0 it only says DSM so could this be my problem?

Re: My very first hobby RC
Finally got a few minutes to work on my RC. I removed the old black paint. That Airplane finish remover stuff works great. Hosed the parts down and 10 mins later was able to take a plastic putty knife and scrape about 95% of the old paint off. Hosed it once more and after 10 mins took paper towels a...

Re: My very first hobby RC
Thank you Thumb. Now from what I gather Mah relates to how much energy can be stored? so would a 5500 mAh be a good choice? Thanks.

Re: My very first hobby RC
Thanks for the info gentlemen. RC10 if you could elaborate on the lipo's a bit more I would appreciate it. I have seen the "C" ratings you described which run from 10 to 60 or so, should I just go about mid range at 30? I also noted they are available in 2s, 3s, etc I assume this is simila...

Re: My very first hobby RC
So I have been looking at motor and esc combinations until I have gone cross eyed. I am not great with electronics so I am have difficulty figuring out Turns, Kv, Amps, brushed, brushless and so on. So I figured I would just ask what combinations most of you folks are running in your buggy's. I most...

Re: My very first hobby RC
If you are referring to the slotted part where the axle (dogbone) slides into then it was not broken. That was as far as I could get the bearing to slide up to and was going to post and ask if anyone had an idea how to get it off, however after that I took a blunted punch and with a few taps was abl...

Re: My very first hobby RC
So I was get stuff ready to clean, peroxide and dye. I noticed when taking the tranny apart that around the hub there bearings how ever when I looked at the RC 10 manual it showed that just some felt with a retaining clip should have been there. So was this some sort of aftermarket thing? It certain...

Re: My very first hobby RC
JK got it right, they are T4 shocks. I mostly got them because of the color and they looked about the same. They both appear to be longer than the originals. My decals arrived today, tried them in a couple places, think I will just stick with the one decal on the hood closer to the windshield. I may...

Re: My very first hobby RC
Here are some of the parts and body I ordered. They arrived before I got around to posting about my project but I didnt want to load a bunch of pics on one page. Not sure if that makes a difference or not. I plan a red, white and blue color scheme so after I get the black paint off the frame I will ...

My very first hobby RC
I recently bought an old RC 10 Gold Pan at a yard sale. it was pretty beat up so I plan to do a bit of an over haul. I am a paramedic by trade so I thought an EMS theme would be cool. It is currently coated in a pretty thick black paint and has a NASCAR type body. I ordered an RC 10 buggy body and f...

Re: Heng Lang ESC
Ok, so tonight I decided to try out my controller. How ever when I hook it to the motor it automatically runs. I checked the controller and the throttle trim is at zero. When the transmitter is on there is a red light on the ESC but when I turn the transmitter off the red light goes out and there is...

Re: Heng Lang ESC
Thanks for the reply but to clear things up when you say 15t or higher you mean slower correct? The lower the number the faster it is right? Thanks.

Greetings, I am new to the forum and RC's in general. I picked up an old RC 10 Team Associated gold pan buggy at a yard sell. It is in pretty rough shape but I bought a cheap radio shack 2000Hm(?) battery and the car ran pretty good. It has an unmarked motor, Novak ESC and Futaba 2ch (the kind with ...

Re: Craigslist find :: What'd I get??
LOL, it came with an old Futaba stick radio, 6 cell pack and charger. For the hell of it I flipped the switch on the radio.. and the light came on! So I plugged the battery in and the servo twitched! I'm digging for a bearing for the 6-gear right now as it had a blasted out top-shaft bearing and if...
