Re: Project OverKill !! RC10
yeah I got an email yesterday morning saying he had one unpaid for case left, so I snatched it up. Either way if it wasn't the last one I'm still glad i was able to get one. I probably have enough parts now to build 3 rc10's now. If I don'use the stealth on this car I will for another build. I'm sti...

In did however snap two dog bones , but they where OEM and in replaced them with new b3 b4 bones.breaking stuff for me is half the ...

Re: Pro-Touring/Restomod RC10
i am now calling this project OverKill ! i finished up my steering and did some clearancing of the front a arms to get to lock to lock and reworked my rear axels for the correct hex seating. originally i was using the stock axels but i found making drilling out the hexs to be a temp fix. now i am us...

Re: anyone done a hex wheeled gold tub yet????????
I used gen 1 HPI blitz front knuckles and hubs and the rear axels work as well you just need to press in the correct bushing and then you have hex all the way around. I have pictures in my build thread.

Re: *Parts needed to run modern 2.2 rims/tires on your rc10*
In the fronts i am using Blitz front hub assembly for use of hex on the fronts. On the rears I'm using Blitz (generation 1) rear axels and bearing in the stock RC10 hubs. I pressed in the bearings flush on the inside and outside . I used the hip blitz stuff because I had it on hand and it fit.

Re: Buggy Front Wheels Alternatives
In was at my LHS today and he informed me they have 12hex front buggy tires . I'm thinking about a set or trying to see if they let me test fit some rubber on my beadlocs without an insert, that is if i find tires that fit..

Re: Pro-Touring/Restomod RC10
In between watching cartoons and playing with the kids today I've been searching this forum. All of this information is going to save me a TON of time and save lots of money on useless parts. I did decide to look for another rc10 as well.

Re: Pro-Touring/Restomod RC10
This is where the 6 gear Associated trans is a bit different than a more conventional 3 gear trans. On a 6 gear the differential is the spur gear, there was no slipper. If you hold the spur gear and turn one tire you will see it work. The gearbox is split in half with 3 gears per side which work in...

Re: Pro-Touring/Restomod RC10
OK now I'm starting to get confused. On the outside of the trans is that not a ball style slipper? the diffs are fixed to the output shafts which ride under the idoler and the input shaft which has a ball diff type mounted on the input shaft inside the case,no? What I don't like is what I have alway...
