Re: Tamiya 801XT build plus electric conversion

Nice build. There's a great build thread on TamiyaClub on this model... http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=71892&hl=trf801#entry519911 So much so i got the author to get me a kit and ship it to the UK. I've started my build this week, paused currently waiting on better 25mm bolt...

Re: First Vintage RC10 - Team Car Rebuild - RUNNER PHOTOS AD

Apologies for the lack of recent updates - been very much a bit of progress here n there as final parts arrived and I found the time amongst other projects and family life  I changed a few of the decals around on the runner - it was a little sparse before and I'm much happier with it now.. htt...

Re: jconcepts detonator for rc10

A lot depends ont he colour scheme - the dark blue/range one makes it look very upright and elongated cab - almost like it has a rear seat for a passenger ! With the lighter and slightly disguising scheme of JHarris' i think it looks pretty good. Trouble is we all know what a RC10 Classic should loo...

Re: First Vintage RC10 - Team Car Rebuild - RUNNER PHOTOS AD

Parts have taken a while to come through , possibly due to the US shutdown period, but I do have the shelfer sat as a complete chassis now. Just electrics, wheels, body and decals to go !

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

Tamiya Camel Yellow (PS-19) is a warm yellow shade, but only slightly orange hue - probably needs backing with red or black to darken it. One TC member used copper, which was going to be my choice for a slightly off box art look - it turned out fab.. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=...

Re: Tamiya Astute

Cracking new build - always great to see a new build of such a beautiful buggy, even with its flaws. I love to give mine an outing from time to time, I did the Madcap rear arm/hub change after the Astute hubs proved insufficient for even a few small jumps. http://i1194.photobucket.com/albums/aa378/pe...

Re: First RC10 Team, it's going to be a racer!

Took the RC10 to my local astro turf track this week , it went really well and not that far off the pace of the modern cars, I'm very pleased with it. I'm thinking of the next mods and going to wider arms , I've seen some cars on here with delrin arms ( think they ate Klein?) or do Rpm make wide tr...

Re: progress or regression? Been here before and back again.

It takes a while but these Progress series threads pop up from time to time ;) I started off with a Gallop Mk 2 - looked a rather sorry one, but after a day stripping it, cleaning and rebuilding I got the chassis from this.. http://i1194.photobucket.com/albums/aa378/percymon/Kyosho%20Gallop%202%20Re...

Re: Intriguing ad in RC Car Action - RC10 re-release?

Sadly not mine but always nice to see stock. My supplier had allocation of 35, 27 sold as pre-orders, another sold yesterday - so 20% left if thats any indication of UK sale volumes ?
