Re: What is the current status on the Masami "Stealth car" conversion kits?
(previously fell in love with the Avante until I drove one). GOLD!!!!   Yeah, one of those "don't drive your dream car" or "don't meet your idol" moments. Still think Tamiya makes some of the best looking kits though. They just announced they'll be offering a rep...

What is the current status on the Masami "Stealth car" conversion kits?
I just got my re-re RC10 Worlds car running and only bought it for nostalgic sake. I knew it would be a shelf queen and that's fine. I would just love to convert it into a 89/91 Masami "Stealth car" because in my youth that was the pinnacle of RC car design (previously fell in love with th...

Re: Anyone willing to do a huge favor for me? Needing a turnbuckle/cups
If that is an actual b4 spacer, that's definitely longer than the one I have that is "supposed to be" a B4 spacer. So disregard my earlier posts.  I went off instructions from the previous page. I ordered a B4 #9602 top shaft spacer. Ended up drilling out the top/shaft hole, fi...

Re: Anyone willing to do a huge favor for me? Needing a turnbuckle/cups
Another option is to use the b4 spacer and that will require drilling out the case to clear it, then the slipper backplate is setting against the spacer (which is better) instead of relying on the flat spots. Part number is 9602 and they seem to still be around @GoMachV So I was able to purchase th...

Re: Anyone willing to do a huge favor for me? Needing a turnbuckle/cups
I don't know the correct nomenclature. I'm just going off the terms used in my Worlds manual.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Thu Jan 21, 2021 3:25 am If you purchased a complete re-re Worlds steering kit, it included a threaded rod instead of a turnbuckle. Just saying.

Re: Anyone willing to do a huge favor for me? Needing a turnbuckle/cups
I really appreciate all the help I'm getting here. I've already contacted Associated but assume it's going to be an SOL type response. Will likely do the B4 spacer. So I assume the drilling is just enlarging the top shaft hole from the outside so the spacer can fit between the case and the backplate...

Re: Anyone willing to do a huge favor for me? Needing a turnbuckle/cups
Thanks. Instead of starting a new thread, I'll ask another question here. When assembling the Stealth transmission, I'm now noticing the inner "slipper hub" (#7485) on the spur gear is rubbing the aluminum motor plate. Soon as I slide the slipper hub onto the top shaft, the slipper hub pre...

Re: Anyone willing to do a huge favor for me? Needing a turnbuckle/cups
Take a picture of what you need. You can also use threaded rod for the link to the servo as well. And you should still be able to find ballcups, and in that position you can use rpm ones. I need this turnbuckle and ball cups. I saw the link below with the ebay choices....but is there another option...

Anyone willing to do a huge favor for me? Needing a turnbuckle/cups
I purchased an RC10 Worlds car (re-release) a few years back, assembled it, but it was sitting as a rolling chassis for awhile. The past few weeks I've been buying everything I need to get it on the road. When installing the servo I noticed I didn't have a steering turnbuckle installed. I found the ...

Re: Need some help with World's car pinion gear recommendations
Thanks but I did see that. Wasn't sure how my 21T compared to those specific Reedy motors on the chart. Figured I would start with a 19 pinion because my motor seems to be the closest to that listed 19T Reedy Super Stock. I'm just curious of the real world results of going up/down a pinion gear size...

Need some help with World's car pinion gear recommendations
I'm finally getting around to getting my World's car (re-release) on the road and have questions about pinion gears. The car is stock with a Power Hobby 21t (16500rpm) brushed motor, 7.2v 6 cell 3000mAh NiMH battery, and a 1060 60A ESC. I ordered a set of 5 pinion gears with a range of 19T-23T. What...

I am likely posting in the wrong section. But need training wheels. Have a Worlds kit and need help
I am old. To me the pinnacle of RC10 was Masami's 91 World car. For a production car it was the "World's Car." My old school cars consisted of a Kyosho Ultima, Optima, and then the RC10 bug bit me. A few questions. I have a "new" Worlds car rolling chassis. At the time I was tryi...
