Re: Ultrasonic Cleaner

Ok - thanks for the recommendation on the simple green - I will hit that first :-)

Also, about the unit with a heater - I am too cheap, so went with the Harbor Freight variety.

Ultrasonic Cleaner

Ok - so I recently bought a World's car to restore. Following the guidance of some previous posts, I thought I would give the $29 Ultrasonic cleaner a shot, along with a Hydrogen Peroxide solution. So far, I am not too impressed :-)

Re: Where to find kinwald worlds decals

Nice work! your car is beautiful! I am working on restoring a World's car myself - did you save the image for your decals (or do you have any extras)? I'd be happy to contribute to your cause via paypal, if you have any decals or artwork you could share :-). PM me, and I we can work something out! T...

Re: OK - This RC10 restoration addiction is starting to suck

But like I tell my wife, at least it's an at-home sort of hobby, and it's still cheaper than most other guy obsessions. You are correct, sir! There are many "hobbies" that are much worse (drugs, drinking, women, gambling...). And many others that are more expensive. Not a bad choice, if y...

Re: OK - This RC10 restoration addiction is starting to suck

I am sure that my "collection" isn't even close to many of the guys on this forum, but for me, it's getting out of control :-). i don't have a large house so storage is at a premium... so, I do try to sell some of my old things before buying new. In that spirit, I got rid of my childhood R...

OK - This RC10 restoration addiction is starting to suck!

A few months back (fueled by the RC10 Re-re), my quest for a vintage RC10 began... I bought a Cadillac fixer upper (car #1). Then, as I got more into it, I realized I that i needed a better source car for my restoration. So, I ended up with a nice late Edinger (Car #2 - pics posted a couple weeks ba...

Re: My worlds car project (updated)

Love it! Nice work. I just picked up a Worlds today on Ebay. Will have to see how it turns out - hope that I didn't get swindled :-)

Will post some pictures as I go down the restoration process.

Thanks, Loftfind. I looked up your box art. Very nice - love the Orange! Also, love your Schumacher and the old COX Scorpion(s). Old school!

I paid $250 for everything, including a new Airtronics radio. Probably overpaid.

Re: Craigslist score! Late Black Stealth RC10CE

The only reason this thing wasn't used at all, is because they couldn't follow instructions. http://i.imgur.com/dVgu57Y.jpg looks like the new owner couldn't follow them either. :P  rear arm mounts, got them on the wrong sides. LOL - ha ha ha... I will need to fix that. Seriously, t...

Craigslist score! Late Black Stealth RC10CE

So, with my re-ignited passion for RC10s, I have been keeping track of Craigslist. I just missed out on an early Edinger... But, I did have a good pickup recently on a truly UNUSED Late Black Stealth RC10CE. This thing should be in a museum! I was up until 2am rebuilding it Check out the pics! http:...

Re: My RC10 Restore!

Thanks, guys. Has been damn fun!

Wish I could take credit for the "box art" - but, I bought that from Tamiya Spain. You guys probably knew that already, though :-)

It took a while for the body to get here from across the pond, but worth the wait, in my opinion.

My RC10 Restore!

Hey Folks - I am a new member, but have been reading the forum over the past few months! Good stuff! Thanks to this forum, I have just fully restored an Edinger RC10.
