Re: RC10 Newbitz build thread
It's been a long process. Just this past week I stared to cut the body to start painting. A couple money dollars in my account and I'll have the motor and esc. I have to wait on an RX. I got the Orange Rx from HK and it'll be about a month. I'm thinking white body with blue or blue with white. Maybe...

King Cab restore
Since I am in a holding pattern for my RC10 Graphite I acquired, I have decided to start thinking about restoring a King Cab that came in the same lot. I'd like to get it in running condition but shelf queen status is good too. I think all I need for parts are the rear hub carriers, dogbones, and ou...

Re: RC10 Newbitz build thread
Thanks. Not nearly as done as I want it but I am running out of cash so it'll go on the back burner till after the holidays probably. I'll paint the body and get that nice and pretty. First of the year I'll get my electronics and really get it rolling. In the meantime I'm going to clean up and rebui...

Re: RC10 Newbitz build thread
Yeah I didn't cut the bottom. It fits nice the way it sits.
I wanted to stick with these lipos because the fit well in my SC10.

Re: RC10 Newbitz build thread
Didn't sit right.
I have 3 more if it makes people riot.
Right now it has a little upward tilt that puts a little stress on the rear cup. The servo tape would make it sit a little higher and stress it more.

Re: RC10 Newbitz build thread
I'll try to get better pics when I have a chance. Right now I need to decide on a power system. I'm thinking this from Tower: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000407926&I=LXCATW&P=K I was looking at the Hobbywing equivalent also. I'm thinking of a Solar 770 servo for now....

Re: RC10 Newbitz build thread
I didn't think of taking the front of the battery box off. I carved out the rear bulkhead to take my battery.
I'm going to take some pictures tonight.

Re: RC10 Newbitz build thread
Haha yeah there's been some as of last night. I have been hunting down some small parts (nylon nuts, spacers, new drive gear, screws, etc). As of today I will have everything I need, I think, to get going again. My friend who I have to go through for everything I do RC :? said I should take the Kyos...

Re: Part number help
Yeah I'll check them out.
I didn't have the number at the time and this particular shop is set up for online sales so it's just a huge space with lots of drawers of parts. I'd still be there.

Re: Part number help
4187 or 6466 of these should work. 4187 are 1/8 id .030 thick nylon washers. 6466 is a kit different thickness washers. take a look on RC10.com web site for those part numbers. I went and looked at these today at lunch. The 4187 is smaller than the one I need I am pretty sure. 6466 is the plastic s...

Re: Part number help
Thanks guys.
The one from the Traxxas kit looks promising.
I'll look up the others. I have about 8-10 sets of shocks to rebuild.
