Re: RC10 gold pan spur gear wobble, stripped spurs!!!

Glad to hear have it fixed now. I had the same problem a couple years back, it was quite frustrating to say the least. Oh by the way, I'm interested in seeing your "GTS twin cam" since it sounds like a celica  8) Its actually an AE86 Toyota corolla GT-S . Sold it years ago and drive...

Re: RC10 gold pan spur gear wobble, stripped spurs!!!

Update: It's lateral movement strictly within the spur, carbide balls and the two plates. I was up late last night, tinkering with it and there is a BIG improvement from the rebuild and replacing the bushings with bearings. Re: RC10 gold pan spur gear wobble, stripped spurs!!!

I replaced the Teflon bushings , top shaft, spring and nut, diff rings, carbide balls and still spur play side to side AND forward backward. I meshed the pinion and spur correctly and installed new carbide balls in the spur gear. I noticed there was a wobble from side to side on the spur gear, and I thought the diff balls wor...

Re: Stealth transmission slipping problem

It was the differential slipping. I removed the rear right wheel, tightened it up a bit then backed off. Works! Now gotta work on the good pan

Stealth transmission slipping problem

I have an RC10 B3 with a stealth transmission. Installed a brushless system and the transmission slips bad. I tightened the slipper clutch all the way and it still slips. With the slipper fully tightened and holding both wheels down, i can turn the spur gear, clutch assy in both directions. Not sure...

New CA member with two unknown year RC10s.

My first RC car was a "wired" new bright that turned left when you went in reverse. My 1st wireless RC was a Tyco Turbo Aero Hopper 9.6v. I just picked up two RC10s from a friend who was clearing out the garage and was going to throw them away. They are in route via UPS and they arrive nex...
