Re: RC12LW is finally a roller
Wow!! Beautiful! I'm interested by the hubs you used to mount 3 holes wheels. Is it that part: https://www.rc4less.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=164&osCsid=1e2954e316d5f2a35ba96edf609d337a ? If yes, does it fit the diff without changing anything else? It could be a good solution...

Re: Original World's Ball Bearings Question
Agreed. The four bearings in rear carriers should be the only difference. If you have a pre-made bearing kit for the re-re Worlds and want to use it on the original Worlds, you'll have four extra 3/16"x3/8" unflanged bearings and be short four 1/4"x3/8" flanged bearings. Eight if...

Re: RC12LW is finally a roller
Thanks! If it were a full-size car it would definitely be a '20 footer'. It's been straightened and cleaned up but still has quite a bit of wear and patina. But it's come a long way from where it started which is what I'm happy about.

RC12LW is finally a roller
After some cleaning, fixing, dyeing, and replacing, I finally came up with something that looks pretty decent. I bought someone's wreck off eBay a few years ago. The right side rear apparently took a good hit. The T-bar was cracked and most of the diff parts were missing including the wheel. Half th...

Re: Optima Mid Runner Budget Build to LWB conversion
Really beautiful work. I'm impressed by how dedicated and talented some of you guys are to preserving these things. I like to build, tinker and hack these things while some of you (many of you actually) are modelers and real artists. Kudos!

Re: Sand Scorcher
That rust detail looks fantastic. I wish I had that kind of artistic skill. As it is I can barely keep a taped line from bleeding or apply a decal straight. Damn old eyes and hands now. lol
I dig the netting for the side windows but I vote for keeping the foggy windshield at least.

Re: Home Brew Connector Adapters
I'm starting to do the same, making adapters to go to/from Deans T plugs to whatever else I have since I haven't settled on One Connector to Rule Them All yet. And I need the soldering practice anyway.

Sorry, that was built and eventually sold off 25+ years ago. I wish I had it back!

Re: RC10 Composite Craft Pro build
Composite Craft parts always had such a certain quality to them, very much expensive but worth it for looks and finish alone. The CC RC10 Worlds I built years ago was arguably the nicest car I ever built. So nice I couldn't bring myself to actually drive it. lol I never knew of a truck version exist...

Re: Do old radios and receivers hold any value to anyone?
I prefer good alkalines, for the higher voltage. However, I do avoid Duracell batteries (well known for leaking, also known as Duraleaks). Funny, I've had the exact opposite experience and have gone strictly to Duracells in anything I want to keep that I may use infrequently. They probably all leak...

Re: Finally drove an RC car for the first time in 25+ years
Yes, with the distinct lack of room on the 144001, I figured trying out a Dynamite Tazer Twin would be a good choice from a packaging standpoint. And it's red, too. lol
