Re: saved from the closet: late 80's RC10 with vintage hop-u

So how do you adjust droop on the rear, I've got waaay too much, the dog bones are trying to bind at max droop. I've searched and see that you can add a piece of tubing to the shock shafts inside the shocks, but it seems like there should be a better way... Here's how it is now... http://i124.photob...

Re: Anyone ever heard of a TC3 Nitro to Brushless Conversion

I know this isnt exactly vintage (yet) but has anyone ever heard of or done a Nitro TC3 to electric conversion? I know the chassis is a little heavy but maybe with a nice brushless set-up and the pan chassis you could have a good rally car. I've thought about doing this to my NTC3, I don't want to ...

Re: saved from the closet: late 80's RC10 with vintage hop-u

Here's the collection of old tires I have with the car, other than the foam ones shown in the previous pics. For the front, I ran these old ProLines on Sand Scorcher wheels. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p29/mk-Zero/RC/20140104_163943_zpsed3dbc23.jpg~original On the back, I usually ran these ht...

Or buy re-re parts. ;)

Ah, brake fluid, brilliant! I'll give it a try! Thanks 8)
Trying to avoid buying parts that I don't "need," seems more fun to try and use the original stuff where possible

I compared prices of a few parts, prices seemed the same IIRC.

Re: saved from the closet: late 80's RC10 with vintage hop-u

Spent some time on the car last evening. As you can probably tell in these two pics, the nose plate was bent upward pretty bad and had a twist to it. Not to mention the hideous orange paint on it and my Titanium shock towers. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p29/mk-Zero/RC/20140104_164414_zps16cf7...

Re: saved from the closet: late 80's RC10 with vintage hop-u

Thanks man. 8)

Does anyone know if the Hot Trick ESC had braking? Mine doesn't seem to, but I'm not sure if it didn't originally have it, or if the braking circuit is just toast...

Re: Has anyone ordered spares?

Just placed an order last night directly from AE, all the things were listed as "in stock", so we'll see how long it takes...

saved from the closet: late 80's RC10 with vintage hop-ups

Dug my old RC10 out of my bedroom at my parent's house over holidays. Put some new batteries in the controller, charged the old NiCads for 20 minutes and it ran. Well, for 5 minutes or so, lol. My 3 year old son loved it, and I had fun with it, so I decided to bring it home with us and freshen it up...
