Thanks guys. Just to clarify, I'm actually pulling the threaded end of the turnbuckle from the shaft of the plastic ball cup. I keep pulling the left rear outboard one, which of course results in the dog bone flying off on its own.
I'll give the RPM ones a try.

Re: T4 RPM Ball cups (rod ends)
Sorry, I'm confused. I'm posting in the R/C Tech Forum which says its for "new school" stuff. Should I post this question elsewhere? (I'm fairly new to this forum, so apologies if I posted to the wrong place).Charlie don't surf wrote:That's only vintage by .1![]()

Pics of T4 with 2.2/3.0 SC wheels and Caliber Tires
Just finished installing some new wheels and tires (along with a 12mm hex conversion kit and STRC aluminum hexes). Figured people might be interested to see how it looks. I took it to the track today and the handling is NIGHT AND DAY as many of you probably can imagine. First, here's a "before&...

T4 RPM Ball cups (rod ends)
Hey guys, I'm getting steadily better around the track with the Castle-powered T4, which means I'm getting more air on the jumps and landing hard more often… This means that when I catch a front tire funny, I'm popping (ripping actually) the ball cups from the turnbuckles. So far I'm not having any ...

Re: Oops… Brushless + Stuck Steering=...
I've broken the t-plate a few times in heavy bash sessions (usually involves flying my car 20+ feet off of sand dunes). They are fairly cheap though, so maybe you should buy a couple and a few sets of arms. There's nothing wrong with the stock parts and if you think about it, you need a fuseable li...

Re: T4 hex conversion and Slash 2wd 2.2/3.0 wheels & tires?
Thanks for the data! I picked up like 6 bags of NIB proline split six 2.2/3.0 wheels on eBay for $12 or something ridiculous like that so I've been using them on everything. Plus it's fun to dye them obnoxious colors.

T4 hex conversion and Slash 2wd 2.2/3.0 wheels & tires?
Hey guys, With all the Traxxas cars we already have, I've got quite a few sets of wheels (and some tires) that fit the 12mm hex pattern. After spending way too much time researching tires and wheels that will fit then stock T4.1 I got frustrated and decided to go with what I know. I bought the parts...

Strengthening the RC10T4.1
Hey guys, Well, I've done it again - gone and broke my T4 within minutes of having it back on the road. I need to (1) become a better driver and (2) stop doing speed/temp/gearing tests up and down my street with all the Prius cars around here. (They sneak up behind you and when you suddenly realize ...

Re: Oops… Brushless + Stuck Steering=...
Just buy new spur gears. The slipper pads are reusable. I'm running 81/22 and it is fast enough to bring a smile to my face and still gives about 20-30 mins of runtime on a 2s 5000 mah pack. The motor and ESC are just warm to the touch after a full pack. Thanks. I just bought a 75 and an 81 that I ...

Re: Tire recommendations for general dirt trail and track?
Hey guys, So I've been poring over various web sites and scouring ebay for all the different wheels for the RC10T4… Are the best ones to go with the original style dish wheels? (9588 front and 9589 rear) I haven't been able to find anything about wheel offset, but I do notice that Associated offers ...

Re: Oops… Brushless + Stuck Steering=...
So I moved everything over to the new chassis and top plate today and fiddled with the steering to get it set up properly. I didn't pay enough attention before - the PO had the tie rods all jacked up so that it would only go full lock in one direction (I had just duplicated everything when I put the...

Re: Oops… Brushless + Stuck Steering=...
Thanks guys! I already ordered a top plate and chassis along with a new steering bellcrank. $36!and I should be back in business in a week... The broken parts seemed very brittle wondering if maybe they were just old or if maybe it was a carbon composite chassis...?

So I just finished bolting in a Castle 3800 and Sidewinder SCT combo, along with a Hitec servo. It took a bit of creative dremeling to get the servo to fit properly and a few shims here and there, but I tested it on the old brushed motor and it was solid and centered. Next I bolted in the Castle sys...

Re: Steering wit new hi-tec (hi-torque) servo & brushless po
In my experience, you'll need to worry more about the 645mg frying than any other steering components breaking. Be sure to set your endpoints well, and don't be surprised if your steering locks up and the servo starts smoking. I have two 625's (one of which was converted to a 645). After sending th...
