Re: 870c restoration
buggy cam out really good, was it hard to find the parts you needed. Thanks Demz :D I had one and a half cars to select used parts from. There are quite a lot of new parts out there if you keep your eyes on eBay and sweet talk people on these forums! Some parts are harder to find than others of cou...

Current offerings from JC are not the right offset, so I will run these.
After all what use is a wheel if its not going round?
I would like some pink ones though!

Novak T-4 with lipo?
Hi, Is the Novak T-4 ESC capable of running on modern lipo power? Or is that asking for trouble? I'd like to run period ESC and motor in my Yokomo 870c but I don't want to use period cells if I can help it. I'm aware I'd need to be careful about not letting the lipos go under voltage, but is there a...

Thanks for the great pics of the belt tensioner bracket. I've made a little progress ... http://i1368.photobucket.com/albums/ag194/powellnp/Mobile%20Uploads/photo_zpsniqf9qpq.jpg Chassis is a little scratched on the top where someone has been a little careless removing some electronics. Re: 870c restoration
A couple of questions, if anyone can help me please... Is there any reason why you can't run a front diff in the rear? I have two good condition front pulleys but my rear pulley is knackered! I have a top deck with a couple of countersunk holes near the spur that look like they are meant for mountin...

cleaning mag parts
I'm guessing vintage yokomo magnesium parts need to be treated with some care.
Does anyone have any advice for cleaning these bits up or are they best left as is, with a nice protective oxidised layer on the surface?
Thanks.

870c restoration
I'm finally getting going on a Yokomo 870c restoration so thought I'd start a thread and share some pics. I've bought a couple of well used and incomplete cars recently and the first has arrived. I've also sourced a few of the obviously missing parts. I want this to be a runner. So, here is the star...

Re: acetone on YZ10 chassis?
Well, I can report that an hour in a zip lock bag with a splash of acetone was enough to shift 25 years worth of super glue and various sticky tapes and velcro from my 870c chassis.
I'm very pleased with the results
