Re: Kyosho Shadow?

I didn't know it was going to be practically NIB. Now I'm back to being against running it. :P You should put it on eBay and make a nice profit. Heck, I'd bid on it. Man... Now you are making me rethink my plan to drive it... Well, I have an Ofna Ultra LX to convert to electric, a Tamiya 80...

Re: Kyosho Shadow?

Picked it up. Cheap enough that I didn't mind taking it home :D Box has definitely seen better days. Re: Cliff Lett RC10 Replica / '90 ROAR Nats

When I was young, I tried to use a file to get the gold tub chassis of my Championship Edition to be like Cliff Lett's chassis.

Suffice to say, it did not go well...

Car currently has a green tub that was picked up during a clearance sale years ago.

That's awesome that you had them sign it.

Guess it is staying in the box then?!

Re: Decided to share since everyone loves classic Kyosho!

Yeah, seems like the biggest unfixable issue with the truck.

I think I saw the Sassy Chassis had some mods you could make to the steering setup to make it better. But I'll probably leave this stock. I might even sell the Thorp diff and other gears since I will probably drive it once.

USA-1? I think I want to see it run once. I read a lot about its shortcomings so I don't think I want to push it and break things. But I would like to see it drive around next to a Clod and Double Dare.

This was $150
Though it was funny he didn't buy 2x of the gears and diff+outdrives. Unless I just didn't see them in the box.

Re: robinson racing JRXT

Was the chassis of the JRXT and JRX2 the same? A while back, I got a box of parts from ebay which was almost three Losi cars, two JRX2 bodies, and a JRXT body.

Re: Decided to share since everyone loves classic Kyosho!

Man, those are in great condition. I have to agree, those wheels look slick on the Ultima! I never find awesome deals :( Congrats! That's what I always said until last month. Ultima was $50. Turbo Ultima II was $50. And the Double Dare was $200 with working Futaba Magnum Jr radio. And those weren't...

Yeah, it's been on its lid a few times before I got it. Gotta fix that bit.

Re: Kyosho Shadow?

What I used to do is to boil the plastic parts for a while before assembly. It slightly anneals (softens) the plastic, makes it flex a bit more. I never heard of the heating the screw trick, but seems like that would help as well. I've heard of the boiling trick too. I might do that just to give ev...

Decided to share since everyone loves classic Kyosho!

These are recent pick ups that I couldn't say no to for the price. Ultima with Tecnacraft wheels. I just found the original front wheels and tires but wasn't able to find the rear wheels and tires within boxes of stuff. http://i.imgur.com/bDuj3Zrl.jpg http://i.imgur.com/L2bBLCpl.jpg http://i.imgur.c...
