Re: All original 1st generation GT. Very nice.
Thanks. I kept the pipe and CZ but sold the roller. I have enough parts to build a perfect roller but not sure if I will ever get around to it.

Re: Remember this rare engine (use for 1/10 truck)
I have decided to sell a bunch of GT stuff so I'll most likely sell the motor as well.

Re: RC10T DURATRAX NITRO CONVERSION
Very nice. One of these days I will start on my 1st gen GT "custom / mod" build. I also have one of the Dura Trax heads for the CZ along with "finned" adapter for the backplate.

Re: RC10 Graphite #6030
I often look at buying NIB kits that I owned in the 90s but i always think "what the hell am I gonna do with it?" just leave it there sitting in its box. One dream would be to wrap them up and open them on xmas day! Keep it sealed and/or sell it. Find yourself a runner I feel the same way...

All original 1st generation GT. Very nice.
This is my 1st gen GT. It is all original from when it was built (many years ago). Raced once so it's not perfect. However, it is very clean. Motor is a CZ with rare Paris pipe attached. I don't have an "attachment" to this particular truck. However, I am attached to couple of other trucks...

Re: One of my 1st gen GT'S (all original)
Thanks. It does have a few flaws due to the one race it ran. Overall, it is very clean.rraeford wrote:It's a beauty.

Re: One of my 1st gen GT'S (all original)
This is a current picture of my all original 1st gen GT. I have had several people ask me if I'd sell it. I would since I have others I'm more attached too. However, I need to wait for my ebay message to be accepted before using the B/S/T section. I hope it is soon because I'd like to possibly buy s...

Re: RC10T - Adam's new build
I like the look of "box art" 10T's but it seems to be what 90% of the guys are doing. If it were a poll my vote would be for a 90's style paint scheme.

Re: RC10T - Adam's new build
Boiling them is fine. That was a trick we did in the old days (occasionally still do). It will soften the plastics so they are not as brittle.

Re: RC10T - Adam's new build
Use the SC1 on the tires. I have 4 pair that I sprayed down nearly 3yrs ago (light coat every 7-8mo) and they are soft & shiny.

Re: RC10T - Adam's new build
Here is the can to look for. It says "clear coat" but it is not an actual clear coat. It just conditions plastic and gives it a nice clean appearance. Most of the time it will hide the lighter areas on the 10T and original GT chassis's. I just put some on an old GT chassis to show the dif...

Re: RC10T - Adam's new build
Yes, it was started by Ron Sr and it's still a family business. Ron Jr is a crazy guy (in a nice way) and runs the company now.foots wrote:Maxima makes a really good product. I think it's or was owned by the Lechien family.

Re: RC10T - Adam's new build
No problem at all. You can pick up a can of SC1 at any motorcycle shop that carries Maxima products. If you can't find it for some odd reason let me know and I'll send you a can of it. I use it on all of my cars after cleaning them. Keeps them looking new.
