Re: Kyosho Inferno MP5 Restoration / Build
I just need to say again how nice this turned out. I appreciate all the attention to detail you put in. I was never really into the MP5/6 until I saw this build. Now I am trying to keep myself from building one, lol. Thanks mate! I'd say build another! ;) The first 4 Infernos are my favourites, whe...

Re: Kyosho Turbo Inferno - New Rebuild
Beautiful Turbo Inferno build! Very refreshing to see it in a blue theme instead of the usual green wheels and wing!

Re: Kyosho Lazer ZX-S Evolution
I found and installed same period (2000~2002) KO Propo electronics - PDS-2123FET servo, VFS2000 Professional "Shokai Edition" ESC, KR-301F receiver - to go with the Kyosho X-Speed modified brushed motor. 20230407_021359.jpg 20230407_103715.jpg 20230407_103642.jpg 20230407_103925.jpg

Re: Kyosho Lazer ZX-S Evolution
Further updates to this build - I went back to the kit's Twin Cap Pro shocks, but instead of using the blue caps supplied, I used gold ones instead (which were supplied in earlier kits). 20230424_204341.jpg 20230424_204114.jpg 20230424_204243.jpg 20230424_204426.jpg 20230424_204548.jpg

Re: Mugen Athlete 1/8 Build
Some updates to this build - I've added some vintage Airtronics servos to put in place all the linkages and also finally found the Mugen Uno engine and EFRA-053 muffler to complete the build.

Re: Mugen Athlete 1/8 Build
I reckon it was about the same time too that HPI did. I think the Athlete was the first 1/8 buggy from Mugen to use purple parts.

Mugen Super Sport '92 buggy
Hello all, I'd like to share my build of a Super Sport '92 buggy. The Super Sport ended with the final '93 version and was replaced by the Athlete in 1994. It won the 1990 IFMAR Worlds in Thailand and was in fact leading the 1992 IFMAR A-mains in Germany before radio issues struck. I've always had a...

Re: Mugen Super Sport '92 buggy
Next I sourced for more option parts. Mugen made a ventilated brake disc for the Super Sport: 20240520_202210.jpg It's a 3 piece affair that requires super-gluing. 20240520_202517.jpg I found also aluminium center diff support and rear brake support from Racing Jack. 20240521_201302.jpg The Racing J...

Re: Mugen Super Sport '92 buggy
The buggy is more or less completed at this point. As I only have a pair of side guards, and the muffler side needs trimming, not knowing if I would eventually change back to the conventional muffler position, I decided simply not to install the side guards for now. The body has been sent off for pa...

Re: Mugen Super Sport '92 buggy
Absolutely beautiful build! You have been producing so many incredible builds lately. Great work. Your pictures and documentation are always next level. This really makes me want to finish my Super Sport build. That 3 piece disc and Racing Jack parts are great finds. I am fortunate enough to have t...

Re: Mugen Athlete 1/8 Build
Some updates to my Athlete Team - basically more purple parts! I changed the orange heatsink head of the Mugen UNO engine to a purple one from a REX 350, installed Mugen's purple 3P flywheel and replaced the linkage stoppers with purple ones from RC Square. The wheel locking nuts were replaced with ...

Re: Kyosho Inferno 1992 (MP3) Build
Updates to this project, I found vintage SLD Mondial tyres as used by Toge-san at IFMAR '92.
