Re: RC10B3 x 2 - Factory Team & WOIN Runner

WOIN - Starting to get the electronics installed. I added a front carbon brace to the front, although it's not really necessary. Stock hubs are being used for now until I can find some compatible alloy units. I am attempting to install the esc and wiring as cleanly and as minimal as possible. It tak...

WOIN - All electronics are installed and fully functional. Still some details to sort, and waiting on a body.

Re: Kyosho Superten FW04 - Rebuild

I have been hunting parts for this build for the past few years. I recently found these uber rare Five Stars lower arms. Many thanks to John Cook for all his help in finding many of these pieces. The gold Cross drives (second pair not shown) are also a big find. Once I finally get some parts anodize...

Re: RC10B3 x 2 - Factory Team & WOIN Runner

FT - Slider status. Electronics up next.

I think the two look nice together. Bodies coming soon. Then just a quick 5 or 10 year wait until they get painted. 🙄

Re: Kyosho Superten FW04 - Rebuild

I had a go at modifying the upper front arms. I cut out the rib and added a carbon fiber stiffener. I just wanted to do something for a different look. Thoughts?

Re: Kyosho Superten FW04 - Rebuild

I really like the contrast of the CF. You have an excellent blend from original finish to the completed part. Very nice OEM appearance. I've always had some difficulty in trying to get a nice finish on parts (nylon ish) after modding. The flat/satin look is spot on. Media blasting? And, will you or...

Thanks buddy! I actually just got this nice blue aluminum battery brace for the FT today. I think it fits in well.

Losi XX Modern Racer build

I'm planning this to be my last XX build. It will be a very clean racer with modern electronics. No blue bits. All silver and black. I'm using the L length chassis, which is longer than the regular buggy length. I did this on one of my other XX builds, and I really like it. It should put the wheelba...

Re: RC10T3 Factory Team build

I added some vintage aluminum rear hubs and front carriers. Blue LRP heatsinks on the esc. And unfortunately the blue buggy battery brace isn't long enough, but gives a rough idea.

Last picture is next to my FT B3.

I'm planning this to be my last XX build. It will be a very clean racer with modern electronics. No blue bits. All silver and black. "Racer" huh? Are we to believe you will drive this one? Even if you don't, you won't catch hell from me, I build trucks with the intention to drive th...

Re: Losi XX WOIN Racer build

I also used a dremel to cut this servo/esc lead channel in the center of the tunnel. What a pain to do by hand!

I'm a big fan of the MIP steering kit for the XX series. It's a huge improvement over the stock setup. After some tinkering and adjusting, this steering is perfectly smooth and slop free

Re: Losi XXT differential upgrade identification

The outdrives are MIP Litedrives and the aluminum diff gear is maybe a HG or Robinson.

This is a MIP outdrive I polished.
