R.I.P. Nick Adams
I am almost embarrassed to say I never knew of Nick's contributions to RC over the years but growing up U.S. based and pre-Internet I had never heard of him. When I returned to RC years later, I discovered his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbiW6uX8MLmxYHaNucInSqQ/videos and really...

Re: R.I.P. Nick Adams
Thank guy's for sharing the stories and information! When I was a kid RCCA and the occasional copy of Competition Plus were the only magazines I had access to. Novak, Trinity, Reedy, and to a lesser extent Tekin and Twister were common place in the ESC/Motor market and dominated most of the press. 1...

Re: Big bore shock springs
Would someone mind measuring the ID of the springs for Associated 12mm shocks. I bought a set of shocks from a MT10 for a project, before realizing that they aren't standard Associated 12mm shocks. The I.D race of the aluminum shock collar on the shock body is 16mm. The I.D. of the spring itself is...

Re: RC10T6.2-GT
Evolution of the Associated nitro stadium truck. Started with a conversion kit, all the way back to conversion kits. I doubt the class will make a comeback. But I still think they’re the coolest. I missed the 1/10th gas truck racing scene, and was never really drawn to the GT. But this really has m...

Re: Houge RC10 with prototype trailing arms
Looks like the TPS Nova chassis set. Traxxas up front, RC10 at the rear. Have a look at the upper chassis and the servo mount drill pattern...https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=30125 I was just going to say that those arms really looks like Traxxas arms, and I have never seen a front bulkhead...

Re: Houge RC10 with prototype trailing arms
Here the prototype parts - provided by Ruffy Are those original prototype Houge arms on the left? Never seen them in white before. Machined or injected? All the aluminum bits on the right prototypes that Ruffy did? I remember him doing some prototype rear trailing arms, but I have never seen the fr...

Re: Houge RC10 with prototype trailing arms
Thanks all for the help and the positive words. Would you have any suggestions about where to go with this build? I wanted to add the aluminum front and trailing arms - but am now having second thoughts. Maybe the car should just be cleaned and left as is - as a time piece? If it was me, I'd clean ...

Re: Houge RC10 with prototype trailing arms
Thanks all!!! Some answers to the questions raised: - The white arms are machined - According to my mail exchange with Ruffy, the aluminum parts are the real Houge prototypes - I am not sure about the width of the front arms, but will soon be able to tell The idea to add the aluminum prototype part...

Re: Houge RC10 with prototype trailing arms
hello Everyone, I haven't been here in a while, but I have some info on the various aluminum arms that are posted on this thread. The first pictures of the ebay car with the large aluminum rear arms are actually the Andy's prototypes that were done in conjunction with houge. I was told these were p...

Re: Where are cars made (Losi)
The contentiousness over whether Taiwan is a country (autonomous or otherwise) or part of China aside, hopefully we can assume that "Made in Taiwan" is in fact made in Taiwan, and "Made in China" is in fact made in mainland China. **Saves Hong Kong debate for another day  Th...
