Re: Another Marui project - Ninja/Shogun
Thanks guys! You know, when I was 14, I did not succeed to do this properly... Then way later, I found a trick... Generally, I would use masking tape for the external side of the helmet. Generally I mask the face, and use spray paint to do this. Here it is more complex, because of the mask Bill have...

Re: Another Marui project - Ninja/Shogun
Bill Elliot sits now proudly on the Marui chassis https://i.imgur.com/ywkG64b.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/bxOgdoA.jpeg At this stage, this chassis has no electronics, the runner is not going to be this one... I did add a few details to the bodyshell using some trim line applied inside the bodyshell... ...

Re: Another Marui project - Ninja/Shogun
I did put the Shogun driver figure and bodyshell on the chassis. I've not done any work on this chassis yet, it's not clean, but there is a very good basis for nice restoration (I have a plan for a Shogun runner beside this one: this one has been lightly ran, and is in pretty good shape, at the exce...

Re: Starting a best shock argument !
Has to be the Tamiya shocks linked below out of there TRF division. Haven't found a better set of buggy shocks yet! They blow me away every time, although super pricey.

Budget runner brothers day1
The budget runner brothers freshly-batteried for summer and ready for first shakedown! The brushless car features a JC Racing transmission (adapted for stock dogbones with a slight motor plate mod for pin-clearance which works great). Brushed car has stock 6-gear and an old Trinity 27t stock motor, ...

Re: Printed gears question
Thanks Doug
It appears that to find any Google reference to the gear and find their site you must add "acetal" in the search terms.
And RWR doesn't use Kyosho's part #?
Anyways to beat that, shipping was 6 quid!

Re: Kyosho Double Dare Refresh
I don't know if anyone remembers the movie Money Pit, but there is a great line in that movie where the contractor actually shows up to work on the "the pit," and he announces, "you won the lottery, today we work." That is how I am with my RCs; I work on one until another one win...

Re: Kyosho Double Dare Refresh
Save the front strut tower (waiting on the motor), it is a slider. I don't know if Kyosho's plan was just to shove all the wiring under the MSC, but that is what ended up happening to get it all to fit. I have to confess that the MSC that I got was just a generic Kyosho rotary of the era, and not a ...

Re: Again another Marui project : Super Wheelie and Big Bear!
I have quite a few Super Wheelies and Big Bear here awaiting for some restoration. However, my first priority is to get a white Toyota and a white CJ-7 ready as soon as possible to be able to make the single picture with all the Marui cars, including the Mitsubishi Jeep... The black CJ-7 and blue La...

TAG Navajo (Pro)
I first saw one of these on Tamiyaclub back in 2006. First impressions were, "what were they on?" After much investigation and research, I decided that I would buy one and modify it for running. There's no way I could shelve something this weird. Navajos are hobby grade yet verge on ...
