Re: Making a carbon fiber chassis the beginner way (part2)

Great test results. Learned a few things as well it is going to be a useful result. IMG_5007.jpeg The chassis was resin light. The vacuum held, but the resin from the top did not diffuse to the outside layers. The cosmetic effect of the 3 piece wasn’t great. There were lots of orphan strands of carb...

Re: Making a carbon fiber rc10t chassis the Competent way

IMG_5046.jpeg This is rigid and impossibly light. Cosmetically it’s going to need a few hours of clean up but it should be just fine for my oldest who wants to make his rc10t as a model and not a running car. I’m not sure if it’s the switch in resin, design or better technique. I think I may trim i...

Re: Hirobo 44Bs and Zerda :)

I got contacted by someone searching for a Zerda bumper... I never tested it, so printed one in TPU to see... https://i.imgur.com/POiYKBH.jpeg The dimensions, profile and holes position are perfect, only the cuts profile are not perfect. I may do something about it at some point, but for the time be...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

A new printer arrived home during the week... Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra https://i.imgur.com/TlFP0Du.jpg The bed is bigger than the Photon M3, and this should become my main resin 3D printer. I don't know yet if I'll keep the Photon M3, as I have no clue if this big bed printer will work with flex resins...

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

Multiple fails... Cumulating new printer, new resin, new slicer (Chitubox in version 2 is slightly different than V1). this makes the thing slightly more difficult. The resin is not an easy resin, and I start to suspect the tilt makes orientation of parts slightly more difficult... I resliced my par...

Well how about that. Thanks for posting this up since I hadn't seen it yet. It only took 33 years for me to enter a build.

Re: SilverTriple's printing stuff...

This time it is a success. I changed the supports settings accordingly to some tricks I found on a the sirayatech user group on facebook, added a few supports just to be sure, and it worked... AficI8ZkkiA I removed the supports and put the parts in the cure station after cleaning... https://i.imgur....

Re: Factory Works Ten4.1 project

Made some updates to my original Ten4 project. Jeff helped with the conversion to use original tires. Added Factory works motor and using the cc chassis parts and screws. I installed Dhawk 3 piece wheels. Mostly silver and black with some gold. I haven’t finished tweaking the colors.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

Chased the 4014 for a little ways today. It was a couple hours from home and my timing was bad, almost missed it. Literally parked as it was coming around for the bend. Ended up stopping at the bend for a quick lube job

Re: Finally found a Triumph

Also a few other bits to add eventually, not sure about the electronics yet, I am planning to run it. Team Penguin does an undertay and gear cover, the rest is TBG, always quality. Belts (TM17) were hard to source, found tough racing, but they have a sketchy looking website and wouldn't ship to New ...
