Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
Don't ask me why, but I woke up way too early this morning for a Sunday... Time to work on the Galaxies :-) First I put an ESC in the red one. It's fixed with 3M velcro, and there is a velcro band at the same place on the blue. I checked the motor everything is ok on both cars (I do not plan to run ...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
Looking very good as a group ! And all in running condition with the modifications you made . :D Yeah, I even tested the Galaxy in the living room, and there is nice drift trace now on the ground... I need to clean that, otherwise my wife won't be happy when she'll be back from the poney club :-D I...

Re: Vintage Nylon Parts Durability
I bought this. I'll strip it and soak the nylon parts in warm water for a couple of days. Hopefully it's all good. My second RC10, sold the last one in 1993. Using it for racing.

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
I will start one off - today my wife finally got a new knee. She has been in agony with bone on bone joint pain, so this is a welcome upgrade as she puts it. :) The surgical staff were amazing and I was stunned when same day she was standing and walking with the help of a walker. It will take some t...

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
It has taken a while but my family and I have fully recovered from out house fire years ago and started making progress forward again. By the end of next summer our 100'x60' backyard track should be fully operational and we will begin some new builds once again. It's hard starting over from nothing ...

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
My brother, Steve, is recovering in hospital from having two malignant tumors removed (behind the right ear and above left ear). Steve was diagnosed with myeloma about two years ago and has been undergoing regular treatments and follow-up scans but somehow they missed the tumors until he started hav...

Re: Have Good News - Please post it here
I played battleship for shots yesterday and woke up without a hangover.
Today I ate pizza.
Found some random vintage associated parts on the shelf of a hobby shop.
All in all this feels like a win.

Demon MF-1 / MF-83 1/12th Car
Not all of you will be aware that as well as motors and ESC's, Nick Adams of Demon Power products also dabbled in the 1/12th market, and for the 1983 season he developed his 'Demon MF-1' car (sometimes also called the MF-83 designating the year). The car was designed with significant help from Mervy...

Coelacanth I just found this that may be of interest. It is priori to the Galaxy introduction, but it really gives a view of what was the state of the art ep off road racers in 1985... https://i.imgur.com/smoLmhM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6ASlV2H.jpg https://i.imgur.com/9ZKpIpY.jpg https://i.imgur.co...

Re: PB buggies. Post your pics.
Ok here's a stock 2wd Mini Mustang, can't be many of these about, appears to have had very little use and will be treated to a clean and a fresh pair of rear tyres. The original tyres are super dried out, can only assume that the car has been stored and baked in a hot attic. Rest appears in good ove...

Re: Marui Hunter - My first buggy... Found one to restore :-) - and a Galaxy RS too :)
Dadio , Well, I found 17 issues of Model Cars Monthly recently on ebay, and it was acceptable price and I was a bit curious  (specially because I knew I would find at least the Hunter review from that magazine in one of the issues, as well as the Tomahawk and the Hotshot, which are part of...
