Re: ** Hopelessly Incomplete Project of the Month - April 2025 **
Someone take my place please. My mom's basement nearly flooded so I won't get any pics with all the water mitigation I have going on over here. No problems with dropping out. Life stuff always takes priority. I don't have any moderator ability to delete or rearrange posts and I'd like to keep all t...

Raborn Invencer X-10
Crossed another car off of my vintage oval bucket list: Raborn Invencer X-10
I added the optional Raborn aluminum spring retainers, Tecnacraft turnbuckles and some aluminum hardware. It's sitting on CW mounted foams and I have a CW Phantom Wedge to top it off.

Re: CV Joints for Rocky/Raider and Other Hardware Alternatives
I did away with the springs, pain in the neck. If you use a standard domestic paper hole punch it snips out perfect size circles of thin rubber, i used thin neoprene sheet, and an old mouse pad, I stopped using them as well. I still have them...somehow. I used a small o-ring with the 70mm, but I di...

Re: Worth the wait, just released Fibrelyte JRX-Pro carbon chassis
Found this reply from GOMACHV a few years back, he is in the thread and a quote from MYTIMAC who had a comment from Gil Losi Jr regarding the bell cranks. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=43012 This answer has never made sense to me. He says "since the arms are offset" but why wer...

Re: Just a Rocky Project (Formerly "My Kyosho Developed Yokomo Envy")
I've iterated this battery support/guard way too many times. I was hoping it would help keep the battery in the car by supporting it all the way through and keeping it from moving around so the zip tie could get a better hold, but I'll need something else to do so because it still slides right out. ...

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special Annouced!
if someone wants to use a nimh saddle pack you could just cut off the lipo battery mounts and file the slots to shape. Modifying the chassis to make the slots usable would just be too much of a hack job final product. Kyosho makes nice kits, but this is a bone head screw up from them. But whatever....

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special Annouced!
No Ball differentials mentioned OTW101C It comes with the ball differentials, and the steering centre link is the HD metal one. Although a lot of people have replaced the ball diffs in other models for the much more durable gear diffs. As for retaining the battery, coming from on road racing I'm us...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Stumbled across these Kyosho Maxxum FF front arms on FB. They are Rare, and he had 2 sets!!! Im trying to piece one together and after a few texts we caught up for an hour on the phone. Seller was a depth of knowledge about Early Kyosho, and put me straight on Lazers, ZXR's and assisted me with par...

Re: Turbo Optima Mid Special Annouced!
I want to point out that it's a rerelease not an exact copy of the original with some things changed around to deal with modern conditions. There are some weird choices for sure, like that chassis hole layout. The ball diffs are a curious choice but they also still supply all of their offroad rere m...
