Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Haven't bought anything for a while, but picked up a couple of used bodies, originally bought for putting on cars as I build them to sell.... but now that they have arrived, I'm not quite sure. Body Lot.jpg My photo quality isn't great (taken on the floor at work), but the bodies are a fair bit bett...

I appreciate they were collectable and rare but never appreciated they were that valuable.
A NIB 4-10 Legend will fetch around $4K - $5K if you find the right buyer.

Futaba Magnum Sr. Steering Foam Replacement

After a lot of research I finally settled on and replaced the foam on the steering wheel of my old Futaba Magnum Sr. (FP-T3PG). Happy with the results and since I didn't find a lot of in depth how to for this online, I thought I'd make a post to help anybody out in the future. Link to the foam I use...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

That is really beautiful. :) There was an Aurora Borealis here two nights ago. It was my first time seeing that in person. I also saw something odd moving across the sky during it. Super high up barely discernible to the naked eye, it looked like a star was slowly moving across the sky in a straight...

Re: Robb's Garage

The AE TF10. I just wanted to build a long, dual deck, TF AE based car, so I did this. I feel like I rushed the paint, and want to revisit this in the future to top it off more correctly. tf10 build 1.jpg TF10 BUILD 11.jpg TF10 BUILD 16.jpg TF10 BUILD 18.jpg TF10 DONE 2.jpg TF10 DONE 1.jpg

Re: Schumacher CAT XL 2WD (T402) for vintage racing

Yes, tooling marks are part of the charm and identity of many of the old cars. Always interesting to look at the metal machining, whether it is platework, milling, cast or lathework. Also how traces from the moulds leaves marks on plastic parts, wear over time or rebuilt moulds for updated parts. So...

Re: The retro-not-real Turbo Ultima build

Thanks for checking in; my mind is on the electronics as well! :D I have plans to use a 19.5T 240S Le Mans w/240S ESC. I see the kit instructions calls out a 15.5T or 13.5T Le Mans motors. I do have the 51T BL spur gear installed. The battery door and small plastic parts that latch it into the top d...

Re: Schumacher CAT XL 2WD (T402) for vintage racing

Thanks! The looks of the car turned out the way I wanted 8) I’ve always thought it looks a bit strange with the 2.2 on the old cars, but it really makes life a lot easier on the track. Good to have an original set of wheels and some worn and very hard full spikes to look at on the shelf. Then I get ...
