Re: Got myself a rere Turbo Scorpion
I have these and I really like them. I use one as a daily runner. Initially, I didn't care for how it handled so I've modified the rear suspension to remove some camber angle and increase toe-in and replaced the kit tires with Proline Bowties and it drives like a champ now. You'll want to use a drop...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
That Outlaw Rampage Pro is going to be sweet! You're lucky to have found one NIB.
Kyosho has re-released the ORP but as an electric 2wd trophy truck this time - different time, different market I guess.
Anyway, I'm gonna try the rally car thing.

Re: Tamiya Torque Tuned motor
I haven't ran a brushed motor for a while and I've totally forgotten about the water break-in method. I'll give that a shot. Thanks Perry!!

Re: 1:8 Kyosho 4246 Williams Renault FW14 EP
The car looks great! You're fortunate to have found one and now it's in excellent condition.
Awesome detail work on the driver's head/helmet.
Definitely a keeper.

Re: SRB Free Styling
You mean the tube frame you've made? Piece o' cake. Start with photos: a top down and one from the side (only one side image is needed assuming the frame is symmetrical). Hold the camera parallel to the floor for the top down, and parallel to the car's longitudinal axis for the side profile and hold...

Re: I wonder if my old Custom Works Dominator ended up here?
Well unfortunately I can't help you locate your old car but I can certainly understand why you'd miss it so much. I still have mine - one of Jim Deiter's cars - in fact it has the same orange wheels as yours. I've been giving serious thought to getting it running again for a little parking lot fun. ...

Re: Shodog’s ’93 Worlds buggy
Absolutely STUNNING!
I fully understand your choice to keep this car on the shelf. Some cars are just too purdy to risk getting scratched.
It's as purdy as a Christmas ornament.

Re: Hyperdrive H10 super glue special
This will make an interesting restoration project. A little (perhaps a lot?) of acetone will dissolve that old CA glue. A few of my racer friends bitd ran these cars. The Greenwood Vette body is going to look great on this car - with some proper rear tires of course. Looking forward to an update. I ...

Happy Easter everyone.
These are strange times indeed but I hope everyone is staying safe and doing well.
Hope abounds, we will make it through the pandemic and normal life will return again one day.

Re: Original Ultima popularity question
I wasn't aware of any behind the scenes dealings but maybe there were. I was in college at the time and a fairly avid weekend racer. Myself and about 10 or 15 racer friends from our home track in Springfield traveled frequently to races throughout central Illinois, down to St. Louis and even to Dave...

Re: RC10 B4 rebuild/update
Thank you Headling for posting such a fine example.
No disrespect to mid motor fans but a rear motor 2WD car will always be the quintessential off-road RC buggy for me.
The B4 represents the end of an era and is probably starting to become a desirable and collectible vintage buggy.

Re: Kyosho Scale Car Series Jaguar X220 resto
Another Kyosho model I never knew existed. ... and you appear to have an NOS body shell for it. Very cool!!!
The spring preload adjuster collars are similar to the ones on my vintage motorcycles. I've never seen those used on any other RC.
I'm very much looking forward to the next update.
