Re: New Vs Old Team Associated Quality

Honestly your Traxxas 4x4 VXL is kind of a beast for bashing. If it's broke, take it apart, print out the manual and parts diagrams and rebuild it like a kit, you'll be familiar and not starting over cost wise. Once you tear it down it's not as complex as it may look. And if it is truly dead type br...

Re: Corally SP10V – the sad one

Why the oven? Are you using pre-preg to reinforce the chassis? No pre-preg. Just to cold in the workshop to get the epoxy to harden properly. I put the oven on low temp for a couple of hours to speed up the process. This morning we have -11 degr C ( 12 F) outside temp. My workshop is only heated wh...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I put a 17.5 brushless setup in my TC3 a while back and it was glitching with my AM radio. I tried a Novak Polaris receiver and it was still glitchy. Tried a Futaba R162 Rx tonight. After adjusting the throttle range a bit, all was good. 👍

Re: Corally SP10V – the sad one

Couple of pics from this weekends work on the SP10. Cracked and delaminated corner someone "fixed" with some soft unhardened epoxy. Actually felt more like shoegoo. 20250124_195343_l.jpg 20250124_195357_l.jpg Cleaned the area and used CA with filed down carbon dust as filler. Clamped hard ...

Re: Building with my Sons

What a great father/son project! In the long run those bad instructions are probably doing him a service. :D He's learning that "experts" won't always know more than him.

Re: Joes b4

JosephS wrote: Wed Feb 19, 2025 1:30 pm is there a threadlock for plastic?
Yes. But if you read the SDS, it's just CA glue. Maybe not the same strength or thickness as Super Glue, but more or less the same.

Re: Joes b4

To save holes for the small 2-56 screws, take a small safety pin, put a dab of super glue on the tip, then rub the it inside the screw hole. You only want to lightly coat the threaded walls of the hole, not fill/close it off, so if it's too much glue just stick the pin back in to take some glue out....

The RC10 4wd

I only know that this was sent to me, no way to validate it.

If it's real, I would have to think it's the MIP project that will be tied to AE. I can't imagine both MIP and AE are working on the same thing.

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)

If this happens, I believe it will be a first for AE; offering a production version of an aftermarket conversion of their RC10. Today's AE is a different company so I guess anything's possible. What about the centro? I must admit that I'm not familiar with the Centro. Was it developed by others and...

Yeah I'm gonna let them figure that out, hahaha. I'm done spending money just to have them clone it. I already have something else cooking.

RC10th-ishT4: tweaking it to the RC10th degree

Every time I look at my T4, I keep thinking about how much cooler RC10th's T4 is than mine. Mine will not be a clone of his, but I am going to borrow some ideas. https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=46091 https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=45332 This is my starting point. . 100001449...

Re: The RC10 4wd (or how AE stole the Ten4 project)

To me the car is a total rip-off of Jeff's kit...looks nothing like the prototype car that ran in the IFMAR 's that they are promoting in they're ads online...and it's not an opinion..it's a fact.
