Re: Tires…..

Does anyone make a super knobby tire like the oroginsl gold pan cars came with? I picked up a couple sets of the new concepts tires, but what are options for super aggressive tires for the RC10….if there are any options that’s. My track in my yard is pretty loose and the big knobby tires work a lot...

Re: RC10CC classic clear wait list....

Two sets of rear tires, two sets of front tires, a decal sheet, and a tub of green slime is $100.44. That qualifies for free shipping. I'll take that. I hate 90% of how AE has handled this whole CC thing, but I am not going to complain about parts coming around that I have always wanted ........

Re: T3/B3 Skid Plates?

It will be a runner, I am just waiting for the last part - a battery strap of all things. I could only find the Thundertiger version and it has had to come all the way from Australia.

Re: Is there a trick to the TA RC10?

I've built my T3 into a homemade, short course spec abomination....I cut my own chassis, shock tower, and braces from G10 fiberglass, and pretty much redesigned most of the layout....It's become my street terrorizer, and is easily the most fun driving car I have.

Possible Zebra RC10 CE... help requested

Hi all, I'm new to the vintage RC10 platform. My time as a kid was with Tamiya Grasshoppers, Hornets and Frogs. I always wanted a RC10 but the prices were way over our budget. I was recently re-introduced to the vintage RC world which re-ignited my desire to own the unattainable from my childhood. I...

Orange or Black Novak ESC Switch Repair

Posting here for posterity, since the little thumb knob is often broken off of Novak switches: The little switch inside the translucent orange or black Novak switch housings is part number SS-12 made by a company called NKK. They are still available for little over a buck from all the typical electr...

Re: Forum News & Discussion

So just a quick question .............. where do the garage / home-builds go now? I think they were lumped in the "Vintage Other," but now that is sub-categorized into all the makes. Where do the home brews go? :) Well that depends. Is it entirely custom, or is it based off an existing mo...

Watcha get for Christmas?!

I got Yoga Blocks! Not because I'm a 4th degree Jivamukti, but because they make excellent R/C car display stands! At 3x6x9 they're the same with as most chassis', nestle between the control arms lengthwise, and keep the tires about an inch off the shelf... firm enough to easily hold the w...

Re: RC10CC classic clear wait list....

I always assumed this meant the fragile clear plastic parts... pretty much to stop people from running their 10CC, and then complaining that it broke - if you know there's (officially) no spares of the fragile stuff, then maybe you won't build the kit and then take it to the local motocross track. ...

Re: MIP 4X Chassis instructions- Who can read this?

About 1/4 of the way down this page http://www.toybaron.com/MIPreference.htm there is a red-wheeled color photo (might have been one of Shodog's) that shows that the camber block bar of frp (if that's what it's called) presumably those two little square frp parts as spacers to elevate it off of the ...

The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

A lot of you must already know this, but I recently found a site that has the original Vette from the movie, and it says the Vette was most likely an RC10 DS, and was driven by Jammin' Jay Halsey! http://www.robobugs.net/articles/dead-pool-dirty-harry-movie-radio-controlled-car http://www.robobugs.n...

Became a first time Dad

I became a new dad to a newborn son. Strange for me to say it after all these years. I was THAT guy thinking it wasn't necessary, that it would be okay unmarried and without kids. No looking back now lol! Typing this as I try to figure out the basics of holding, changing, burping, balancing work, be...
