Hopefully this one doesn’t walk away on its own
Well, it's not a 10mm, so maybe there's a chance it doesn't. But those are very "comfortable" in the hand.

Re: Vintage Trinity Commutator Lathe (for stock motors)

And don't stop mid pass, maintain a continuous and constant speed for each pass

Oh, and always make sure the tool carriage is on the load side of the feed screw when you cut.

RC10 Graphite Resto

While I was waiting for the TBG TQ10 body to make its way through the USPS black hole, I decided to slap together a Graphite basket case that has been warming the shelf for a number of years. I decided to be a little less strict on my OEM only rule, so there will be a few parts substitutions along t...

Re: RC10 Graphite Resto

Nice collection of part for the build. The gold motor guard is a nice addition. The factory graphite is my favorite version on RC10. Thanks. I got lucky with the motor guard on Ebay probably 10 years ago. I agree, the "plate" cars are really neat. A bit of scrubbing and a peroxide soak li...

Re: RC10 - A Stamp Rebuild - Chipped Idler Gear

Got the bearing kit, and was going to get started on the rebuild. Looking at the white plastics, I have yellowing in some places more than others. https://i.imgur.com/6jbQK0P.jpg I would like these to be shiny and fresh again. https://i.imgur.com/QjJnncq.jpg But I hear about the hydrogen peroxide pr...

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?

From what I saw while it was up...
3 piece wheels, narrow fronts... So it's a 7001 original truck 8)
Gold shocks and bushings... So it's a 7011 sport truck

Re: Are we ready to add an RC10T ReRe section?

Oh darn, a thought just occurred to me. :( In addition to the wrong shocks, the kit will likely include bushings not bearings, the nylon could be very white and it probably won't come with a printed manual. But you know what? I DON'T FREAKING CARE! If the quality is like the 40th (and why woul...
