Re: Hirobo Zerda: from wreck to runner
More often right D. Been fiddling with this restore. Side panels, two options and tried the hirobo Toyota Celica wheels on it. Pondering dadio's much earlier idea of side panels to enclose rv and battery. Not sure I like hirobos panels with Meccano like holes. Any opinions welcome Screenshot_2022092...

Re: Do you display with or without electronics?
Gotta be a functional runner I reckon. Otherwise might as well be airfix or revell kit. Getting it "working" is half the enjoyment. But I'm not a collector just a dabbler and bodger.

Re: Hirobo 44B
They look a bit worn and gluey, rims scratched. I'll post some pics of mine, maybe they'll help. I guess treads can be reconstructed in CAD The thing is that for being able to model a tire, I need proper measurement : I need to understand the way the profile looks, the thickness of the profile, the...

Re: Hirobo 44B
Very good data. Thanks a lot! The most difficult is to get the internal profile right. I should get the complement data when I get my hands on my friend's depleted tires... It requires to unmount the tires and use a tool to measure the thickness in different points of the profile (below the picture...

Suspension axles pretty soft, I've straightened a few with pliers or on a small anvil. If by fixations you mean the small split pins I made some out of single core telephone wire wrapped around a pin to make a loop . They only need to resist pulling out with moderate force.
