Re: Body Paint Removal

I have a used but nice B4 original body that was painted white. Was wanting to experiment with a flat black paint job on the outside, but needed the inside to be black as well. Scratched off outer paint will show less if the inside is also black. I've used Super Clean for a lot of years and haven't ...

Re: Dadio's 3D Printing Stuff

I was asked if i could make an improved steering knuckle for the Hirobo Zerda , they are a weakness and i had one brake myself , i managed to get a pair of knuckles for the Alien Mid that are stronger but hard to find so these are the ones i came up with , the red one on the right is a Zerda origina...

Re: Hirobo Rockn City - rhyming slang or refurb.

To do a 12mm hex conversion could be fairly easy but first you need to find some wheel axles , the end of the dog bone is fairly standard size , same as the scorpion for example , probably ReRe optima axles would work but i don't know for sure , once you have the axles then designing and printing an...

Re: Tamiya or not Tamiya

I'm pretty sure those are original Holiday Buggy wheels and tires. When I got my Sand Scorcher roller it had those wheels/tires so I looked them up.

Re: Tamiya or not Tamiya

I got the Holiday Buggy wheels/tires on a Sand Scorcher which uses the same wheels/tires as the grasshopper so I would think the Grasshopper wheels would work on your Holiday Buggy.

Re: RC10T w Lipo? Brushless

You can upgrade the tx/Rx for £30 or dollars40 to 2.4ghz and not have to worry about crystals, interference or a 3foot aerial. But servo plugs would need trimming to fit the receiver. My choice would be put lipo at the bottom of the list unless your a speed freak. I found 2.4ghz has better range th...

Re: Posting images

I just do direct attachments.

There are some size limitations but that usually isn't a problem.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - February 2021 ** - Winner - coxbros1

This project started off life as a parts car purchased off of the bay that was in pretty terrible shape when I took delivery. Did not expect this to lead me down the path of doing a take on Mark Pavidis’s car and a mistake during painting almost derailed it but pretty happy where it ended up. Here i...

I thought that I had last place wrapped up with a Digger. But threesheds said that he would battle me for last and came prepared. But not to go down without a fight, he got my vote.

A Good Day

My son age 22 has Asperger's or autistic spectrum disorder , he is currently at the end of a 2 year engineering diploma , in the first year he was nailing it , top of the class and rightly so , he was staying on in college for two or three extra hours a day studying , he really worked for it ! Then ...

Re: Hirobo Zerda: from wreck to runner

Pretty sure I found pulleys with 3mm bore that I drilled out the 3.2 for pinion/pulleys , probably easier than finding the sleeve or at least more economic .

Re: Hirobo Zerda: from wreck to runner

Lighter fluid will break down old grease and lubricants without damaging the plastic parts. It's also good for removing servo tape and other mild adhesives.

Regular Zippo or Ronsonal fluids are just light hydrocarbon, naphtha blends.
