Re: 1986 'Penn Models' Touchtronics VF8 (V-FET) ESC

The original wiring looks good so all it has had is a new Tamiya connector added and it is now ready to go back into the Penn Models-based MMS R...

Re: Your top five cherished RC (by manufacture) in a collection?
Out of the cars that I own (19), my top 5 favourite shelfers would be: AYK Bobcat. Associated RC10 gold pan (short arm). Schumacher CAT SWB. Schumacher C car. Associated RC12L Graphite. I've no plans to sell the others either though. :) I was really torn leaving out my AYK Sidewinder ... Tough choi...

Re: What Speed Controllers Were Available Circa 1980?
Sorry - i am a few weeks late to the party here.... Nick Adams was producing his units from 1977, and i have seen pictures of his original prototype and design drawings for the Demon 1 from that year as he still had them at the time of his unfortunate passing. The Demon 2 was commercially available ...

1985 IFMAR Offroad 1/10 World Championships
I traveled to Del Mar in July of 1985 to attend the first 1/10 scale off road championships. I had a 35mm SLR camera and took 50+ pictures. Some good, some not so good. The pictures were on display in my hobby shop until I closed it in the early 90's. If you want to take a look I have them in an alb...

Re: Brushed motors display stand
Congrats, this is definitely a nice display.
Are the motor stands homemade or available somewhere?
I like the angled presentation more but have not found something so far for this task.

I know this is a motor display thread, but is there a build thread on that Schumacher? :D Unfortunately not although I did enter it in the Build of the Month a while back. Re: Reedy Modifieds - which one would be your favorite?
I do like the original green label Ultra Reedy motors ... Just an FYI, OG green label motors...the one's without the gold fins on the endbell, were not part of the Ultra series. Ultra series came out when Yokomo upgraded their motors c.1987/88. https://www.rc10talk.com/download/file.php?id=105857 M...

Re: MCI motor labels
My first purchase from him was by his eBay listing. That's how I would recommend.
