Wait, you get to sit on your ass while the wife cleans? How do you get that to fly??? Or do you reap the consequences afterwards as I would

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Installed electronics in the Traxxas SRT. Went with a Tekin Speed Star TSC 412P because it fit perfectly, Futaba R142JE receiver and S3004 servo. Was originally going to use a Trinity Ex-Tech motor, but decided on the Speedworks 427 because I think it looks better. image000000 (11).jpgimage000001 (...

Re: Acetone/adhesive remover on polycarbonate is a no no

Oh yeah goof off is some nasty stuff. I only use it when going nuclear on something. I'm actually surprised to see it didn't melt that body right through the work table and halfway to Alex 😂 It might have if I would've rubbed it for more than half a second. What's seen in the picture was the result...

Re: Kyosho Pro-XRT stadium truck rebuild (Team version)

Body mounted. Really want to remove the suspension arms and soak them in 12% peroxide (in lieu of the 3%) for a day or two to see if I can get better whitening results. Resized_20240918_170609_1726697213648.jpeg Resized_20240918_170633_1726697209577.jpeg Resized_20240918_170904_1726697422722.jpeg

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

When you find a "like new" Reedy RT1408 low profile servo with ProTek horn for 39% of new cost, you don't say no.

Re: 1/4" axle wheel options

I'm really liking JC Racing's 5 star wheels for 1/4" axles. Just be aware that they only come in narrow fronts. JC Racing has a couple options, as well as Schumacher. I did notice that and was planning on narrow fronts already. But thanks for pointing it out. And happy birthday by the way.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I always heard wd40 is safe. Just needs a lot of time to soak So soakage is key..? I did the spray and wipe method with WD, but did not let it soak in for any length of time. I'll give the soak a shot for deeper penetration. I'd give the spray can of Good-Off a go, but I'm still a bit at odds with ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I always heard wd40 is safe. Just needs a lot of time to soak Soaked it in WD for a few minutes at a time, it all finally lifted after a few goes and looks damn good now. Soaking in lighter fluid will also soften and release it. It also doesn't leave residue. Yeah, had to clean off the WD residue a...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Was planning on assembling one of the RC10 Team cars today, but my KNK hardware kits, which were supposed to deliver yesterday, ended up at another town's post office 15 miles northwest of me. Wish I would have checked delivery status yesterday morning, I would've called them and drove over there to...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Can now start my very first RC10 assembly. My buddy's Team car is getting the black set and mine is getting stainless. And a supposedly brand new/never used R152JE.

Re: and the graphite finally makes an appearance

Anyone notice the black rc10 chassis sets for sale now from amain? I see Amain has listed the RC10T chassis, part # ACS7805, but one of their images show a buggy nose plate. Same part number on AE's site, but AE shows a 10T nose plate. Amain's image showing the buggy nose plate must be incorrect.
