https://i.imgur.com/41fhm0G.jpg Still have a lot/prob another 3-4 weeks of printing/work to do on the Jurassic Park diorama for the theater room. But just finished the first of the two SUV's..."damaged" it... and mounted it & the Rex. Looking pretty cool so far. Took about 10 days to ...

Re: Jurassic Park project

I had a few hours to get back to it last night. Bought a couple blue&green chip sized LED's from Evan Designs last week and wired up the lights that are on the electric fence in the movie.

Re: Jurassic Park project

We just watched the latest Jurassic Park. I liked it. Not my favorite, but good. Sound is very well done at certain parts. Nice work! Yeah same here. I went and saw it about 2 weeks ago. I'd say out of all 6 of the films this latest one was probably my least favorite of them all. But, it's a Jurass...

Re: Jurassic Park project

Finally finished the 2nd SUV tonight. It's 100% 3D printed, 28 pieces in all which took about 60hrs of printing. All airbrushed up and then added headlights & taillights as well as an interior dome light and front mounted off road lights. https://i.imgur.com/L9xaRzt.jpg Short video of the lights...

Re: Jurassic Park project

Finished the Dr Alan Grant for the Jurassic Park diorama now. I bought an action figure then glued all the joints into position, filled the joints/seams with bondo, sanded and painted him. Then for the flare I wired a tiny LED chip light with the wires drilled and running through his body to hide th...

Re: Jurassic Park project

In the words of Dr. Ian Malcolm..."Life found a way" 😁FINALLY finished. It took exactly one month to the day to build. So actually not all that bad overall. Probably a couple hundred hours of work not counting the printing time. Worst park now is I have to lug it up two levels of stairs to...

Gun Room remodel

Well yet again I can never sit still, way too much of my Grandpa Murphy in me. He always had to be doing something. Spent the past 5 days working about 10hrs per day redoing the gun room. Ran out of room so needed to extend the slatwall. So figured while I had it all torn apart I would redo the enti...

Well there's your problem

People are bugging me today, so decided to pull one of my 1/10 MT's off the shelf and do a little work on it today to relax. Last time I ran it it was making a bit of an odd sound from the rear axle. It's a Clod axle truck with metal spur gear and HD shafts and all so was wondering what the noise mi...

Latest 3D print (John Wick)

Finally got some time tonight to finish up the John Wick 3D print and got it all painted. This is the first stl file I have ever paid for, got the file for $8 about a month ago off cgtrader. It's about 12"-13" tall over all. https://i.imgur.com/uFvPLMt.jpg https://i.imgur.com/RiC4736.jpg

Re: Latest 3D print (John Wick)

I love the John Wick series. Reeves is one of those actors where he is not very good in most his movies...but the ones he is good in, he's just perfect. Ones like Neo/Matrix and John Wick, those are two roles where I just could not see anyone else taking his place.

Another 3D print project done

Figured being Labor Day weekend I would take a day off work and finally finish up my 3D printed AT-AT diorama I have been working on for about the past month or so. I scaled the print up 200% and printed it in about 26 different pieces so it's about 20" or so tall. Gonna have to build or buy an...

Re: Latest 3D print (John Wick)

I've actually been thinking about maybe looking around and seeing if they have a Neo matrix statue .stl file where he was dodging bullets. I think that would be a cool one to print & paint up. I'm a Next Gen fan of the Star Trek franchise. There's a Picard bust on Thingiverse that I tried printi...
