The rear arms and outer parts--uprights and axle shafts--are about all that's common between an Optima and a Mid rear end.

Traxxas uses 5x8 and 5x11. You are chasing unicorns- trust us...its just a horse

There are a lot of ways you could do it. But in the end, what do you end up with? Essentially another car with an rc10 chassis maybe? Even though the mip 4wd drive conversion was never really great performance, and highly sought after, I think that was the really cool part about it. It was the minim...
