RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle

HELLO EVERYONE!!! 2020 has been and will continue to be a challenging year. I still cant believe that at one point it was easier to find a vintage DS tire than it was a roll of toilet paper. It isnt suprising that my first build for 2020 got started during the quarantine. Im happy to say its moving...

Re: RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle

I'm just not digging those grey wheels...the style is too high positive offset for my tastes, for a muscle car. I think HPI nailed it with their vintage VTA wheel series: https://www.hpiracing.com/en/part/3822 Kyosho's wheels are so-so, but could be made to look pretty close if you painted the wheel...

I am still updating the History site. It now lists 426 vehicles from 1970-2020! :D

See http://bit.ly/ateamapps, and click on "Team Associated Vehicle History."

Re: On road dirt oval nitro rc10s

I’ve had a couple customs over the years. Unfortunately many of the pictures were lost or erased. I only have a couple pictures left of one of the buggies I built.

Re: rc10gt desire help

There's a lot of information to post about the black tub and blue pan versions of trucks, too much for a little phone screen, lol. In short my opinion is the black tub trucks are more collectable. The blue pan trucks have a slightly longer chassis and are more rigid then the black tubs. Aside from d...

Re: gold tub to nitro rear end question...

I wish I could remember more details. I don’t remember my turnbuckles being at a bad angle but it’s been too long to say for sure. If you’re going oval it might be worth your while to just use the GT bulkhead and do a custom tower or an oval tower as you won’t need the wing tubes.

Re: gold tub to nitro rear end question...

for nitro rc10, it's as simple as using a rc10gt chassis, trimming the front 0.400 inch from the end to shorten wheelbase. use a buggy nose clip complete, and swap in rear a-arms and bones/axles, leaving the bulkhead arm mounts, hubs and trans intact. if you use 1/4" axles, use the buggy hubs.

Re: RC10DS - 1970 Chevy Chevelle

For instance, these HPI vintage 5-spokes look very old school! They have them in 26mm and 31mm widths and in matte (pictured) and black. HPI Vintage 5 spoke wheel.JPG And the tires for them look very scale as well. HPI Vintage tires.JPG A while back, someone posted this Penske Camaro on ebay. I thi...
