Re: Your favorite ESC (with photo)

I haven't seen your Futaba MC-109 in person before. You have one in nice condition and certainly old and collectible. I didn't know that number series went that low actually. My rarest Futaba is the following MC-110 that came with the following Edinger model I purchased in Japan. It came with 35 ye...

Re: Coating screws with enamel/clear coat for rust prevention?

I'm not sure what is available in your area, but I use Corrosion X and Corrosion Block on lots of things. And I live in a humid, coastal area.

Re: Charger recommendations for 2022

Some can do things like cycling and discharging nickel batteries or putting a storage charge on lithium batteries.

Re: Losi spring alternatives? (especially for 2.0 long orange LOSA5129)

Traxxas springs are very close, maybe slightly larger.

Re: The dog thread

My wife had been watching some of the grandkids. They had been covered up on the couch, watching TV.

After they leave, you get this.

10T silver fronts are pretty close, especially if you use the early spring cups and later style upper locators. That is what I used on my Graphite with 1.02 fronts.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

At my LHS right now. They have three of them.

Edit.
They have two.

I wasn't going to buy one but I had a $15 coupon. So.......

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

My first impression was great, other than using four tiny body pins. For a RTR, the transmitter doesn't feel too bad. Screenshot_20220611-213631_Gallery.jpg The rear shock springs could be longer. Screenshot_20220611-213648_Gallery.jpg Then I came to a conclusion, Jrx2 shocks still suck. Screenshot_...

Re: Charger recommendations for 2022

This is to go with the Bruiser clone gift for my buddy who is sick. I am in a similar situation….my brother is fighting cancer so I’m giving him an RC for us to go out and have fun with. I have been looking for a charger that really easy and simple for him to use and came across this Dynamite one. ...

Re: Shocks

Bilstiens probably impressed me the most for ride quality and control. This. I had Bilsteins on my last truck. When it comes time to replace the shocks on my current truck, that is likely what it'll be. For a little less money, I like KYB as well. Stay away from Rancho for a daily driver. They make...

Re: Shocks

And I don't mean KYB or Gabriel are complete crap, just Bilstein is that much better. I agree. I just mentioned KYB as a cheaper alternative. Before I switched to Strange adjustables, I had Gabriel rear shocks on my Mustang. They stood up to a lot of abuse. Just saying. But Bilstein would definitel...

coxbros1 wrote: Mon Jun 13, 2022 4:53 pm what are the blue connectors actually called?
They are EC2.

I have EC3 plugs on several of my cars. The orange Spectrum plug is basically the same.

Most of the Horizon vehicles will have some version of the EC plugs. Associated used them at one time as well.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon

While Jeff is busy cornering the market, mine is finally going.

I had actually trimmed the gouged o ring and got the shock working. At least enough to chase the dog around the house.
