If cleaning your aluminum pieces, be sure to use a cleaner that is safe. I use the Simple Green Pro HD (purple color), from Home Depot. I've never had a problem with it discoloring aluminum.

Re: The late Graphite Team Car
Oh yeah. For hardware and small pieces, a mesh tea ball works great.
They aren't but a few dollars at Walmart. Just be careful when removing them, as the latch pulls open kinda easy.

Re: Tamiya wheel mystery
Well, there you go. I believe Jeff has it right - these probably came from IMEX. FWIW, they are marked "Made in Taiwan". Also, upon close inspection, there are some very un-Tamiya like imperfections in the molds - not just the moldings but the actual molds. There's a very good chance these...

Re: The late Graphite Team Car
I found, after polishing raw aluminum, undiluted Simple Green in my parts cleaner @ boiling temperatures, will stain/discolor aluminum. Probably both time and temperature played a part. When warmed to more normal temperatures no staining. I've not tried Simple Green Pro HD (purple color) it may be q...

Re: Very racey RC10T
I just noticed that the servo is a Futaba S9304. My Team Truck came with that same servo when I bought it. Just thought it was a weird coincidence, as I've never seen many of them. Has to be one of the smoothest fastest servos I’ve ever had :D The one in my truck is so smooth that I often find the ...

Re: QUICKDRAW Super Modified
That is pretty awesome! Especially with the Skellenger (I believe) quick change rear. A lot of them just have a belt and pulley axle setup. I've always wanted to buy a quarter scale R/C of some kind. On the couple of rare occasions in my life that I've had that kind of money to blow, my better judge...

Re: Graphite RC10 build
You will probably have to notch out the chassis again in those spots in order to mount the arms in place. Those chassis are super frustrating. The Andy pro arrow fits as well as the heathen. Yes the Heathen !! That’s the one from the TQ10 article in RCCA, can he still make them ?? I asked Andy abou...

Kyosho Turbo Optima Legendary series - 30619
This morning, I finally started the Turbo Optima build. The Turbo Optima was one of my teenager dreams, same as the Javelin. I ordered the Turbo Optima a few months back when it came back in the inventory. And few days later, I also ordered the Javelin, just because I wanted to build the Javelin fir...

First paint attempt electric boogaloo
My first attempt at painting and decaling a body finished up today. Used tamyia fluorescent yellow and pink I think brilliant blue all backed with white. Custom colored mciracing decals. Not sure what to do on the wing. Not real happy with it and none of my decals look big enough. For now it stays b...
