Re: Let's Talk Tractor / Truck Pulling
So, between Thursday morning and Saturday morning, I basically worked, slept, and fiddled on these pullers. July / Aug is my super busy season at work, so any free time is hard to find, so I procrastinated a lot that needed to be done on these trucks until the last couple of days before the schedule...

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!
I think they were using them along with their onroad wheels for rc10 conversions. Why would anyone want to convert their RC10 to onroad? Oh wait ........................ Thanks Jeff! I feel like it is close enough to make it work somehow, even if not a true DS body. I looked into the Olds TA cars o...

Re: Was KISS the hottest band in the world? 77'/78'
I was 3/4 years old at the time, so missed the KISS phase.
I have to admit that I never was interested in them, and don't get the fascination that some have with them. Maybe a couple of songs that are pop-rocky and catchy, but nothing that sticks out as great music.

Re: looks like we need a rere associated on road section next!
Wide pan car or buggy conversion. Link in last post. I looked at that catalog page again, and it caught my eye that AE referred to this body as a "stock car." In reality, the body is super widened with flat panels on the side and rear, exactly like a trans am car (why I bought it). The sh...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Went to Amazon the other night, real quick right before bed. Searched for low profile servo. First one that came up was identical to the ones I usually get, just low profile. Hit Buy Now.

Re: Fan RC FR-01
Would be good to see if someone with a "gritty" diff tried new diff/thrust balls Swapped over to traditional thrust plates / balls, and it made no difference. Going to swap back in the new style, and just start swapping parts individually until some improvement is witnessed. All parts app...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
The plan was to work on a DS while working on a FR01, but UPS has decided I don't need that DS quite yet. So, pulled out the Hanger On that I started a couple of weeks ago and finished it up, then took it apart, then finished it up, and took it apart again, then finished it up ..................

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
Finally had a weekend without babysitting the MIL, so the wife and I day tripped to Yorktown, Va on Saturday. It was just a fun day out, but the camera phone surprised me with a couple of pics.

Re: RC10 DS Classic - Build
Ran into a problem, was missing (2) ball studs from Bag A, tore the place apart looking for them. Hope that saves someone else some wasted time and grief. Wish I had read this first, and this one line will convince me to read your whole build before continuing. I was also missing the two ball studs...

What Are The Dual Sports Of The Dual Sport?
So the best I interpret the DS, is that it was AE's touring car prior to the TC3, which took its place in 1999. They had pan cars for pristine race surfaces, and buggies and trucks for true off road, and the DS came in to fill the void of parking lot racing, and/or smooth/flat dirt track racing. Wit...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Got the DS done for now. Got into the build so quick I didn't really think about electronics and such, so yea, need to figure all that out.

Re: Fan RC FR-01
The experts will correct me if I am wrong here, but you should be able to build them as all the non worlds rear shocks were built. Stick a ~5/8" piece of tube on the shaft under the piston and call it done. EDIT: I built mine without any spacers in them to see if it was possible, but no,...

Re: looks like we need a rere associated ReRe DS section next!
SWB Kyosho Fazer bodies are very close. WB technically is about 1.1mm different. WT, at least on this Camaro, is just where I would want it. Might be a little wide on a non-muscle car. I ordered up a STI body, so hopefully that will line up, but the wheels being wide in the rear is going to be an is...
