Re: Next up- The Halsey edition RC10
I'm just really happy they're doing a Jammin Jay replica! I think that's long overdue.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
It needs a little clean up but I'm really happy to get this. I like my faux coffin chassis custom builds but they only exist because the real thing was so hard to find. I have some plans for this one.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
I have some plans for this one. . 1000014791.jpg From the pic, it doesn't seem to need anything. That is a good looking buggy! Interesting color choices, though. Did it have a Joker themed body? 1000014797.jpg It is a really nice buggy and it doesn't need anything, but there's an add-on that I thin...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Reg's chassis also has a hole next to the battery cup for the antenna mount that mine doesn't have.MarkyDents wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2024 9:22 pm Reg’s pic from the 25yr thread. IMG_0792.jpeg
It’s got em.
I’m thinking now in reality that we can consider there to be two versions of the late graphite chassis![]()

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
It's interesting that both pair look to be for the same standard size servo, not a standard size and a smaller servo like an S132.

Frankentruck's RC10 Graphite Coffin Buggy Clean-up
I finally came across a coffin chassis RC10 graphite at a price I could stand to pay. It's already got a set of MIP 1/4" CVD and MIP bellcrank steering, but could use some minor clean up and a few additions. . 1000014798.png . 1000014818.png . 1000014820.png . 1000014819.png . To start with it ...

Re: Next up- The Halsey edition RC10
A few years ago, someone posted a stack of images from the 85 Worlds on FB. I don't remember who it was, or which group they were in. But, there was a pic of Jay's car with a stars and stripes paint job. Could be a possibility. It looks like the corner of a Protech body. 52500633781_4d625a03be_b.jp...

Re: Frankentruck's RC10 Graphite Coffin Buggy Clean-up
I compared the other graphite chassis to my new coffin and my butchered coffin (also doesn't have the servo mount holes). One change made to the coffin chassis was the battery cup was moved 1/8" forward on the coffin chassis.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I had gotten an AE RC12 and finally decided to try to clean up the CF chassis. Started with the worst part, which wasn't really that bad. I used some Alclad II Aqua Clear as a "filler" in the scratches. Then sanded to 3000 and polished it. It isn't perfect but it is a whole lot better tha...

Nice!

Great work on the buggy too! That B2 body is a nice fit.

Re: ** 2024 Vintage Off-Road Nationals - Adrenaline R/C Raceway - Winchester, VA - Sept. 6-8 **
I was just joking about JJ and his Ultima leading the RC10s again. Tokyoprof recently posted about the dominance of the Ultima at the 1987 Worlds (https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?t=49944) so this pic from VONATS felt like an opportunity to bring it up again. I'm curious about something from t...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Another RT1408 and Speed Gem Pro Chrominum with a sweet solder job. If I'd ever had a Speed Gems Pro Chromium back in the day, then I'd have to wonder how you got that motor from my collection. I used to do a lot of sweet solder jobs like that. I've been on the hunt for a particular Schumache...
