Re: Trinity Joel Magic Johnson Champ motor?

So if I wanted to have this motor freshened up a bit could someone tell me what brushes I would need to find that would be correct for this type/brand of motor? You will want stand-up brushes, not laydown brushes. The difference is how the brush and the curved contact end are oriented in the endbel...

I don't remember the jammer concept from years ago, the concept just looks like a natural for a future frankenbuild. 😁

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

Some interesting brushed motors arrived. Yokomo Super Wing 17T, Reedy Ti Worlds 9x2, and Losi Revolution OB 12. I'm not sure which Revolution motor OB is, but I like the endbell. It's a single wind. I'll ask about it in the Losi motor thread. . PXL_20240112_200922635.jpg . PXL_20240112_201244390.jpg...

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - January 2024 ** - Winner - coxbros1

Some MSC might have been ok if you couldn't get your hands on an ESC, but I can't think of a reason to prefer an MSC. Plus MSCs wear out, get dead spots, need wiper arm tweaking, etc. When replacing a worn out MSC, it just felt wrong to not be putting that $ towards an ESC. An MSC is just unused par...

Toasted Speed Gems Diamond

This Speed Gems Diamond 12x2 motor looks like it might have caught fire. I've had a couple of armatures with rough comms clean up nicely with some comm lathe resurfacing. This one will be interesting to find out how extensive the damage is. . 1000009132.jpg . 1000009134.jpg . 1000009135.jpg . After ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

My TC3 is just do fun to drive! With the cold pavement and 12T double motor (pretty sure it's a Trinity D3 without label) it does some awesome powerslides! Unfortunately, the 'juat one more' bug bit me and I winged it a bit. Gotta print a replacement now. . 1000009149.jpg . 1000009148.jpg . 10000091...

Re: Toasted Speed Gems Diamond

It came with some other parts I needed. I already have a nice Diamond motor, so this one is ok to be a rebuild project.

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

I had some direct fit wheels custom made. My Dead Pool tribute car will be one of my next projects.

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

I contacted Jimmy through eBay with one of his regular RC10 jelly bean wheel listings, gave him a crude picture of what I was looking for, and asked if he would do any custom work. He was willing to and then sent me some renderings of what the wheels would look like. We iterated a couple of times an...

Re: The RC Corvette in - (1988) The Dead Pool - Clint Eastwood

Yes, I have no problem with you sending a picture of my wheels. That would simplify getting a set made. He made them Nov 2022 and probably still has the design files. I initially struggled to find a 1963 Corvette body and got the 1967 HPI too. Not sure what I'll do with the HPI now. That is the TBG ...
