Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Cleaned and soaked the SRT rear bulkhead and fiberglass chassis in 12% peroxide for 34 hours, about 10 hours in sunlight. Before and after pics for comparison. The battery box sides were not in peroxide.

"TRX-2" ('92 Reedy Race Inspired)

I'm gonna build something like this: Screenshot_20231003_135336_Samsung Notes.jpg Screenshot_20231003_135323_Samsung Notes.jpg Looks like a TRX-1 on a TRX-3 prototype chassis from the limited pics. So not going to be a true replica. Color pic: Seems to be a carbon adapter plate on the rear bulkhead ...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???

A bit of an eclectic haul today of good parts. I was actually upset when I saw these Proline wheels had sold on eBay. I was mad at myself for not grabbing them. I had completely forgotten I had ordered them. I was happily surprised when I opened the package tonight.

2005 Top Force. Built from NIB kit. Had to replace the right rear axle as that part had come from the factory not threaded.

GoMachV on here, Jeff Malar (Factory Works) and I have agreed to have Factory Works take over the carbon fiber cutting! What does this mean? You will no longer see the Vintage RC...

Re: Vintage RC is migrating to Factory Works!!!

We will offer all your parts Todd, even the XX battery mount  So many of our parts overlap but because of the way I manage my materials I cut everything on demand. Grabbing one of your files vs one of mine is no different at that point 8)

Re: Ultrasonic cleaner

I use the harbor freight unit, for the little I use one it fits the bill really well. Make sure to get one that is heated. I feel like the heat is really key. Mine came with a plastic "basket", more of a tray, and it didn't last long. I typically put my parts in a strainer and use that as ...

Re: Ultrasonic cleaner

I use the small Harbor Freight one as well, with 50/50 water and Simple Green Pro (the purple SG is aluminum safe).

I put small parts and hardware in a stainless mesh tea ball so that they don't scatter.
