Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - July 2024 ** - Winner -GrePo
RC10 Tekin mid motor conversion This car was pieced together around the tekin conversion kit from parts I had with the intention of making a light runner around the mid-2000's. A used, trimmed buggy nose plate, old a&l steering bellcrank, and mix and match of new and used buggy parts. Custom hom...

Re: Kyosho Fantom EP-4WD EXT Gold - 60th Anniversary - kit 30644
I decided to use some white vinyls in order to hide the wing side, and I also added a few other white areas... https://i.imgur.com/KPzJazK.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/KIKPJOF.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/f7IRUka.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/edk6P11.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/5Gsv9nN.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/Apyb...

Re: Associated Motor Bearing Bracket
I've only ever seen that as a Kimbrough 137, but I know AE sold Kimbrough items as well. Very cool piece to allow following the bushing rule while adding a bearing

Hornet Beach Bash Aftermath
Took the hornet for a blast on the beach last night. Ended up doing some pulls with another dude who was running an x maxx. My hornet is positively tiny and slow compared to that, but it did great! After all that salt, it might be time for another teardown.

Re: Officially an RC10 owner
congrats on your first one! At this point you might as well make room for more  ! K I've got my nearly complete 93 worlds gold pan build taking up all the space on my dining room table... 8w9rg6.jpg Are those RPM front arms? Reasonably sure it's a RPM 91 worlds conversion. It was listed as...

Re: RC10T Classic Re-Release Build Video and Key Takeaways
Did some testing and tuning the other day at World of RC with the RC10T Classic. I didn’t break any “real” parts, only two of the stock ballcups. Honestly if you’re going to run this truck it isn’t even worth it to take the stock ball cups out of the bag. They’re brittle, grip the turnbuckle far too...

Re: Mods That Make You Go.... Eewww.
It's the 10L, DS, TC3, etc body posts that are now rare and expensive because they are rare. Being unable to mount a body because the posts were butchered is frustrating. No I'm not currently in need of posts, but I've passed up some otherwise nice cars because of mangled and missing body posts. TC...

Re: Howdy From Hawai’i Island!
Also have a terrible vintage 540 motor habit, worse than drugs I swear, and collect old Reedy and Trinity mods, as well as some more obscure stuff made by AYK and Air Supply, tho own no Top motors yet. I’m getting into winding my own arms just because why not? It’s fun stuff for late night tinkerin...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
I had some wood scraps laying around so I made some rc car racks for testing. I am going to make some nice ones but these test racks turned out ok.
Please excuse my messy workspace it’s my train, gunsmith, rc, and home project workbench.

Here's another shot of Rudy being quiet and unassuming....
What you can't see is that he's lying directly on top of a hot water bottle!! Guess the poor little blighter is feeling the cold a touch....- Fri Jul 12, 2024 1:16 pm

Re: Howdy From Hawai’i Island!
Excellent intro Xoid. Indeed, please post that motor collection. It's kind of an unofficial requirement from us other motor collectors on here  Hey thanks everybody. I’ve seen some incredible stashes of good cans on this forum but will get around to adding a pic or two over in the vintage ...

RPM Ultra Molded RC10
After wanting one of these as a kid 30+ years ago after seeing the magazine ad, I was finally able to build an Ultra Molded buggy. Just added a few period mods but nothing too crazy. I was so tempted to add some stickers to this blank canvas, but it looks just too good to cover up. - MIP CVD's...

Re: The dog thread
Dogs are such faithful companions. Even at 16 Buster still offers to help carry the bacon to the table.
