Re: Composite Craft Predator Lynx NIB build

....well...it's gonna be a runner...so time to file the battery slots.

Fairly light at about 35deg. all around. Same for the forward and rear brace LT/RT...so the strapping tape won't break on a sharp edge during runs.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - August 2024 ** - Winner - kandkhobby13

3racing Mini MG Evo. Mini 1/10 scale FWD car. Wow, that is a huge steering linkage! The steering servo that far back is really wild. I guess that's where there's room and then weight balancing, etc. Ya. The worst is that is actually the third body i bought for the car as the others were just too lo...

RC10DS - Kit and Build review.

Picked up the kit on Thursday and built it up yesterday night and today. For the most part the kit went together well albeit the manual was not quite right. So as I was building from both the old and new manual I started to make notes and suggestions on the new manual which I have here: https://driv...

Hornet EVO video

Here is a Japanese language video showing off the new Hornet EVO.

It's an interesting design. I think I may take a break from sending my money to Associated to send some over the Tamiya way.

Re: Factory Works Ten4.1 project

I just realized I hadn't shown off the latest two pieces. All new kits are coming with machined nylon bellcranks, and we have optional aluminum caster blocks now as well. With those two parts, we are just left with 2 printed parts on the car. The bulkhead and front gearbox.

Re: Favorite tools

A friend told me about these crimpers and I was apprehensive, as I have bought other servo lead crimpers from Amain in the past that I was not at all happy with. These crimpers however are awesome. There ratcheting and make shortening leads super easy when wanting to do a super clean wiring job. Scr...

Re: Resurrect NiCd pack

I've heard that Power Wheels use 540 size motors. That thought makes me daydream about making a Power Wheels RC. 😁 They already make them. Kids can sit in them while someone else controls it. I have one of those. Upgraded it to LiFe. Without a kid and no lead acid battery they are quicker then you ...

Re: Resurrect NiCd pack

Zap each individual cell but be careful, just quick touches are all you need. I've never had a cell explode personally but beware that they can, I think an old weak cell would take a lot of abuse.

Your battery pack is only as good as your weakest cell.

Re: Server Funding Status

There's only 10 days left to the month and we're only a little over halfway to the goal. It's not a big deal, but thought I'd mention it. The perk is since it's already the 21st, you'll retain 'Super Member' status for next month as well.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)

My dusty little oval track can't compete with that majestic sunset, but here it is anyway. I found this by accident. It is in a city park about 30 minutes away. It's not Whippoorwill, obviously, but pretty sweet for a free public area. The photo doesn't show it, but the corners are slightly banked. ...

My vintage style dust track. 20240606_195920.jpg Very nice indeed! That's a proper track. When I sold my previous house, I saved this aerial photo from the real estate listing  I should have sold it in the summer so the grass would be greener and the photo better, but you get the idea. :D

Testing Chassis Flex On RC10 Buggy Variants

So, I got a little something something coming in for my FR01 based car, and the question of chassis flex came up. The ol' question of whether graphite chassis flex much more than aluminum tub chassis. I got to researching a bit, and it just became too bogged down, and too much opinion without facts,...
