Here is a Japanese language video showing off the new Hornet EVO.

It's an interesting design. I think I may take a break from sending my money to Associated to send some over the Tamiya way.

Re: Hornet EVO video
This such an ideal buggy for introducing a spec class for newbies. An insect buggy that handles decent, dare I say jumps, AND can handle hotter motors.
Size and weight make it easy to carry around. Looks are appealing. The silly tires, make the driving experience more fun too, sluggish, more chance for mayhem, and safer slightly. The front is slightly wider than I would have designed, but it's nice. You can throw this in your backpack or bike and race locally.
The Slash was a hit for a lot of reasons. But the 1/8 scale size, bulletproof construction, weight and dangerous speed potential could be seen both as a positive AND negative.
Tamiya should promote the heck out of this IMO and bring a new generation of rc people into the hobby.
Insect classes at local racetracks would be great! Hope the bodies are not all colored black tho...
