Re: Schumacher CAT XL 2WD (T402) for vintage racing
Here is a little update on the XL. Gave up using the original battery clamps. Ended up with the short lipo posts (U7046) to accommodate low profile shorties. Straps are the U7234 for XLS and Procat. Just had a very brief trial run on carpet, but enough to give a very good impression and put a smile ...

Re: SG Coyote improvements
Finished the last improvement today. Knocked up an undertray from 0.5mm PETG. It won't help performance, but I think it's necessary considering the position of the cells. They can take an awful lot of hits from debris if you aren't using a full width chassis. 1.jpg Fitted. Bloody marvellous I reckon...

Re: Jammin Jay RC10
The Jammin Jay Halsey edition is done! The final bits came in the mail yesterday. The Yokomo wing buttons. I did use transparent double sided tape on the wing for a cleaner look. This was a good build. Lots of metal work and small details to address. Some appeared under the build when you really stu...

Re: It's Top Cat time!
That looks like a hasty assembly mistake. I wonder if the car was apart and the PO put it back together quickly to sell. The front arm mounts are on backwards. Easy fix. I can't think of a reason to do that on purpose. It could be done to widen the track, but extra spacers would be needed in the bac...

Team Associated parts sale
For U.S. customers I am going to announce this here first because you folks are the reason there is a business. I want to clean out the Team Associated branded parts we have remaining to get some shelf space for new parts this year. This stuff has been sitting for years collecting dust. A few good t...

Re: It's Top Cat time!
Just to back the statement on the suspension arms (T213 and T214, left and right). They were upgraded with extra support. Like 1911Colt describes, the dimples were there to indicate where to drill holes for down stop screws. As seen, this is even written in the original manual under "Track sett...

How to press in or remove RC10 Stealth roll-pin
I'm sure this has been discussed numerous times before, but this is the answer I wish I found on Google when doing my sleath. Find a vice or pair of pliers or channel locks or vice grips. Cut a slit into one end, then position the roll pin like I have here. You should be able to press the pin in no ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
Dusted these guys off, Parma Ski Tiger with a modern hardware set up, and my old H&M No Step 2 P mono race boat. Trying to encourage myself to do a little boating in the near future.

Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)
I've added the ABC Hobby M&Y Tune Up Motors. I deciphered a really poor black and white copy of the specs, only to discover there was a nice and clear version already uploaded here the moment I was done.

Tamiya Top Force - Kit No. 100
I’ve had this original for a number of years, so finally made a start on stripping it down for a complete clean and rebuild. Will have to replace the rear gear case as it is broken where the shock tower attaches, other than that, all original parts will be used. I am going to replace the camber link...
