Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Frankentruck and I did a little switch-a-roo with some AE blue front wide axles I had and he hooked it up with a few sets of these 3D printed 10mm shock clamps and spring cups to replace them gaudy black spacers that come stock with the blue AE shocks. Shown here on the RC10T4.3, which has been rece...

Re: novak electronics
Here’s a timeline that should help you narrow things down by when they were released and discontinued. Should you go that route.

Re: The Franken12L
Now I just need to come up with an antenna mount. I have a fiberglass anti-tip antenna mast that I think I may use. What kind are you looking for? I regularly use these: https://www.amainhobbies.com/schumacher-universal-antenna-mount-schu1042/p-qqqzqatqgb2xactz Or 3D printed versions of the RC10 mo...

Re: Ok maybe it is just a tad bit over geared
Also, CRC QD Electronic cleaner can be used in place of motor spray. Just be sure to get the plastic safe version.
I get mine at Walmart, in the automotive section.
It's about half the price of motor spray, when you can even find motor spray.

If you haven't already, check your turnbuckles with a magnet. I've got some AE turnbuckles that look like that, they are nickel plated steel.
Then I have others that look identical, that are titanium. One of my trucks came with some of both.

Re: The Frankenbuggy
Typically you want a little sweep in the angle of the bones. Since you are making your own mounts it would be easy to move them back a few mm. They like being in an arc with the arm. Also if you narrow up the mounting you can shim them side to side, similar (in function, not appearance) to how our p...

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
I like Raccoons, but they seem to have a real affinity for my house over the last couple of years. I caught this one Friday night and it's a record breaker. Probably 30 pounds getting ready for winter.
Relocated safely.

Re: Graphite RC10 build
One small, almost insignificant , detail
Always found it challenging to cleanly route wires on a chassis.
At least in this case, an existing screw hole could be used.
The piece is a sway bar mount.

It took me close to a year of being on this forum before realizing the magic which this shop creates.
