Re: Who remembers the Chrysler Turbine car?

I don't "remember it" as in seeing them on the road, but yeah, this one has fascinated me since I was a teenager. Also, the turbine car that dominated Indy only to have a mechanical failure at the end.

Re: So, what did you do RC today?

I drove a mild brushless Cougar re-re in my backyard, which would not be noteworthy if it wasn't the first time in many months that I drove anything anywhere apart from brief tests.

Re: Currently Playing

Never heard of these guys before... pretty solid track. itg6kgijKUY Pointless but true story: I very nearly bought a 63 Fairlane that was owned by the singer. He had sold it on (I assume he moved up scale with the band's success). When I saw it, it had deteriorated a bit from when he had it, but st...

Re: If I had a 3D printer…

use front wheels in the rear too… My greatest discovery in RC was when I put CAT 2000 fronts on the rear of my Cougar 95 for stock class racing. It didn't matter because my driving sucked so bad, but I felt the way Costin and Duckworth must have felt when they built the first DFV  Ba...

Re: Lexan Body Trimming - Scissors or Sharp Blade?

I also use an Optivisor with the LED light kit on it, which makes seeing the cut line in the lexan so much easier while scoring. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51TUVzG9O1L._AC_SL1000_.jpg  Whoa! Holy crap, you guys are serious! I didn't even know that Ultraviolet Lexan trimming headsets...

We did go off the rails pretty quickly. About 5 posts ago this was about trimming Lexan.

Re: Schumacher Storm Ad

I like this one, too. :D Thanks for posting. If not for my inability to paint, I would have a replica or two of this paint scheme.

Re: Schumacher Bosscat Ad

To me this represents the ultimate expression of the original series. Although it doesn't share a lot of parts with the CAT, XLS, or Pro CAT, the overall design philosophy was the same. Last of the "pillow ball" CATs. :D

Re: The Official "What is it?" Thread

What model of Schumacher is this? Does it look like an off road model that has had on road tires added and body mounts added? . 1000010225.png Hopefully Alex or Retro RC can chime in with a good answer. It looks like a Pro CAT to me because it has the Top CAT style rear suspension and the XLS style...

Re: Your top Three Vintage Keepers (by manufacturer)

Apart from a basher and a crawler, my collection is all Schumacher. I would keep a Top Cat, an XLS, and another Top Cat.

Have I ever mentioned that I like Top Cats?
