Re: So, what did you do RC today?

Speaking on behalf of Juha Kankkunen: thank you for removing my name

J/K :D

Excellent recovery. It looks a little Benetton-y.

Re: which tools and materials are needed for a procat build?

Honestly, the main thing a Tamiya guy needs for his first Schumacher is a box of tissues  I frequent the RCKicks FB group, which is predominantly populated by Tamiya guys, and there is always a LOT of complaining about how hard it is to build Schumacher kits. Once they get them together a...

Re: Tips and tricks for buying a discontinued rere

Yes, it is a drop in replacement. My ProCat re-re was built using Jeff's (Factory Works) XLS chassis. I kept the ProCat body and under tray, but could have used an XLS body and undertray had I wanted.

Re: Team Associated RC10L3O Ad

I am liking the "not really Mark Martin's #6 Valvoline Taurus, but yes it is obviously Mark Martin's #6 Valvoline Taurus" paint scheme :D

Re: Cougar Classic / Pro Trans / Help me with gearing?

Copy/pasting from another thread because the search feature is likely to bring folks here. The motor manual will have a target FDR for your vehicle type (2WD, 4WD, Short course, etc). Spur gear teeth divided by pinion teeth times transmission ratio gets you your final drive. For example, my motor ma...

Re: The Diamond One's Dirt Oval Ultima

That is coming together nicely. Since it is a replica, I assume you already have plans for the body and paint scheme.

Re: YZ10 rere from Associated

The Reader's Digest version is that AE had all they could handle making RC10s, so they didn't have the capacity to also do a 4WD racer. Their team drivers had to run RC10s in 2WD obviously, but were free to run any 4WD. A lot of them chose Yokomo. Yokomo was in basically the same situation only reve...

Re: Discuss...

Bezerk should learn from the makers of "80%" lowers. Machine the old AP brakes logo onto the chassis, and let the end user complete it if he wishes.

Re: Tamiya Tyrrell P34 6-Wheeler - 1977 Argentine GP - 2022 Reissue

I am no paint man by any means, but I'd swear Suzuki sprayed clear over the decals on my GSXR fuel tank. There is no edge to them at all.

I admire your tenacity with this kit. I really thought I wanted one, but now I know I am not up to the task.
