Re: Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide (Discussion Topic)
Well commenting several posts in one. Swapping endbells could make a motor no longer legal, for competition use. I don´t think a motorbuilder would sell a Yokomo based motor with an Air Supply endbell. Prototype motors are a different story. Yokomo might be to read at the endbell or can, but these a...

Re: RC10 40th Green Edition
If it's real, it's proof of what I expected all along. The marketing team at AE are using the South Park manatees.

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
The lake is crazy low. We've had almost no rain for like 3 months. Hope we don't make up for it with snow this winter.

Allow me to present my PB Mini Mustang, as raced in the recently-completed Vintage Bash V3 down here at the Knox offroad track, Melbourne Australia. No shelf queen here! MIniMustang.jpg Has installed a silver can motor as per the class rules, matched to a Hobbywing 1060 ESC. Radio gear is basic FlyS...

Re: Schumacher CAT XL 2WD (T402) for vintage racing
For me it was mind blowing to see the tuning possibilities of the CAT, and gave me a new understanding of the complexity of RC cars - everything from drivetrain to suspension geometry. The front pivot bracket (T006) came with the SWB and XL kits (left on picture). It serves as top mount for the shoc...

Re: What your workstation looks like?
The best feature is a slide out tray above the drawers. My main work desk has one of these as well.... it's a typewriter tray, from the advent of typewriters, when they were added to desks as an extra item, not getting in the way of the other written BS. You're right that it is perfect for manuals ...

Re: So, what did you do RC today?
@1911Colt Are the rings keyed to the outdrives at all? If it's just CA, it seems plausible that they just sheared away at the glue-to-outdrive interface. I chipped a top gear on turf with a slipper once. Just the right combination of conflicting inputs and WHAMMY!

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Found this purple unicorn the other day. Last piece of the puzzle, I now have all the original Speed Gem motors (like that's some sort of accomplishment). But hey, I loved these motors in the early '90s when I was a little sh!t.
