Re: Backyard Tracks and Strangers
I think what you're really getting at here is you need to send your address out so us strangers can knock on your door to see if you'll let us use your track. Real question is would you want to run on the track after 👉 this stranger 👈 answers the door 🤪 Does the "someone" happen to resemb...

Cheater Stock Motors
The tamper resistant, throw away aspect of earlier stock motors was always frustrating. A couple of motors in my collection are from people that must have had the same frustration. One is an older yokomo based build, the other a Speedworks Joel Johnson. The JJ is nicely done with bearings added and ...

Re: Tell me again about how we cant afford to produce RC parts in the USA anymore...
I just put togther a new CustomWorks Beast Midget, to go with my CW Outlaw 4 Sprint car. The Outlaw has a distictive machined spur gear. I went to build the Beast and expected the same spur. But no, it was a Kimbrough , as I have several OG that I kept over the years. Keeping it US made.

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
Do you ever vacuum your house and hear something go "rattlerattlerattle" up the vacuum cleaner and nervously wonder... "uh oh, what was that?" Or, more specifically... Do you ever vacuum your house? :P Vacuum?!?!?!!? House!?!?!?!?! Van . . . down by the river . . . leaf blower! ...

Re: Tell me again about how we cant afford to produce RC parts in the USA anymore...
I think this is why Schuey used serviceable bearings on their early off-roaders. The manual told you to clean and re-oil the bearings periodically to preserve your investment. I have not been able to confirm, but I suspect the CAT bearings were actually repurposed Mini Cooper wheel bearings. ...

GoMachV's Grasshopper build
This must be my like 35th or so grasshopper/hornet build lol. I kinda didn't know where to stop, it almost didn't get the aluminum gearbox but I'm so glad I did it. Then I started thinking about the aluminum chassis too but I think that's too far  As with most of my recent rere Tamiya builds I ...

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC
I think that it's 1/2 good, half...something else that I can't put my finger on. Keep in mind some of the people that the first run of Re-Re's brought in drove me nuts in the 14' era. It's brought a lot more to the track for sure, which is awesome! It's killed vintage values which is both good and b...

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
My friend ran a Procat back in the day and it was so clean, with the radio running down the center spine and a saddle pack either side. If I remember it was standard Futaba s148 servo, MC 112B ES, And crystal 29Mhz receiver. As new radio is so small these days, and so are Lipo cells I'm playing arou...

Re: Thoughts on the Re-Release Movement in RC
Just talkin about the rc10 reres, but the thing that made the rc10 badass back in the day, even to a kid just running one at the neighborhood jump spot, was that it was the "import fighter", and would whoop your friends tamiya with extreme prejudice. The rere rc10s are an imported asian cl...

Re: The Kinwald Edition RC10 (it is here!)

Re: Picture of the day. (Taken by you)
A1F6600A-A688-405E-98D9-505B12311983.jpeg What's the story behind this photo? I’m a sign installer, we took a cabinet down for repairs and upgrades. Things took longer than normal for us to get back out here for the re-installation. This little girl decided to make a home where the cabinet bolts up...
