Re: Your top five cherished RC (by manufacture) in a collection?
My top five (but in no particular order): IRC Vulcan SE - This 1/16 scale Chinese nitro buggy was my first hobby grade RC. It was a pain in the ass back then, but I always regretted selling it. Now I regret buying another one! Original RC10 Worlds - I bought this a few years ago and raced it on car...

Re: Bored? Come To The Chit / Chat Thread
I saw one of the craziest things in the sky last night. It looked like a really long line of stars moving along in single file. The only answer I could come up with is that it was a line of drones flying someplace. Come to find out after Googling is that it was a Starlink satellite train! Starlink i...

Re: Tamiya chassis confusion
TT series are as basic as it gets. Friction shocks, non adjustable suspsension, lots of plastic. These are 4wd. On road use or very light rally use. The M series are smaller. These would be your vw’s, Escorts and such that are smaller in real life. Chassis are still really basic and imo fairly borin...

Re: Tamiya chassis confusion
To expand on GoMachV 's pretty thorough details, including what Frankentruck has mentioned.... mind you, this is all off the top of my head. Basic 4WD touring chassis list and history : TA Series touring cars: Original onroad / light rally 4WD chassis, began with shaft, but then updated to belt driv...

Re: Tamiya chassis confusion
TA Series touring cars: Original onroad / light rally 4WD chassis, with belt drive . Started the scale touring explosion with the TA-01 and TA-02 series vehicles. But the 01 and 02 were shaft drive 🤨 02 still sold in a rere opel calibra and as a short wheelbase Porsche although I think that one is ...

AE TF-10: An AE Top Fuel Hodge Podge
Why be in the middle of one build when you can be in the middle of four? It eats up all that time you sit around waiting for parts, and paint to dry, etc. My inspiration behind this one was thinking that I was an AE guy back in the '90s and I had a local shop / track where I raced dirt and oval (mul...

Re: Things that inspire you
How many times can you be truly inspired? I mean, really inspired. But you can be truly irritated many times a day. Let's face it. The number of irritating morons out there greatly outnumber inspirational people. Then there is the problem that some people are inspired by the same people who irritate...
